Description:

Do you love creating matchboxes? And you love beads? Then this swap is for you! :-)

This swap was done before by other hosts, but I've missed them and so I decided to do another one.

No newbies, sorry. Everyone with a rating with at least 4.8!

Minimum 10 real snail-mail swaps, (no Url- and postcard-swaps)!

I'll look carefully through each profile, before I'll assign the partner and I reserve the right to ban if something looks fishy!

Decorate a matchbox to the liking of your partner (check profile after assigning) and fill it with beautiful and unique beads. Not the tiny Rocailles or something like that!

I’ll give plenty of time for us to make a wonderful matchbox for our partner. :-)

Feel free to post suggestions and questions here in the comment-section. :-)

This swap is international!

Happy swapping!

PS: My swaps (I host) are not to aim for hearts! Do your best and send what you would like to recieve! That's all that matters! Besides having fun while you create!

Size of the matchbox: normal size 32ct/40ct

Edit:

Decorate the inside as well! Put a little paint or nice paper inside of the matchbox instead of leaving it naked! Means, the whole box and not only the front and the back! Thanks! :-)

I don't mind small beads, though I have a lot of rocailles in red, green, blue and gold--anything else would be fine! I also love anything that's sparkly!

About rocaille beads--these are the seed beads with the silver lining, the plain ones are just seed beads and come in clear colors or opaque, and the opaque ones are commonly called Indian Beads.

The seed beads come in many different sizes--I have some so small that I don't even have a needle fine enough to string them with!

I think the sizes are numbers like 10, 11, 12, etc and that refers to the number per inch so the larger the number, the smaller the bead.Does anyone know for sure?

Ooh, I just found a very informative site about beads: Land of Odds

There are others, too--Google is such a great tool!
