The Nerd Herd: Graduation Day

I love making art tassels. I was thinking about making some new ones and I started thinking about how tassels are used.

For this swap, you will make a tassel designed to attach to the graduation cap of your favorite imaginary academic institution. Starfleet Academy? Hogwarts? Vampire Academy? No problem - we've got you covered! Create your tassel and send it off - make sure to include a note telling what school it would be for.

Your tassel needs to be five inches or greater in length - not including the cord that would attach it to the cap. You must have a way to attach or hang the tassel - but that will not count toward the length requirement. It's sender's choice and you can decide the media, embellishments, etc. Be creative!

Remember, it's a challenge, so if you receive a TASSEL (not a tassel and cord) that is at least five inches long and an explanation of WHICH academic institution it is for and it is sent by the due date, you will rate a 5. Hearts, as always, are in the eye of the beholder.

I will check for any recent 1's and 3's. If you have an old 1 from a currently active swap-bot member, I will remove you as well. I also reserve the right to remove anyone from this swap before I assign partners.
