Description:

Thank you OrigamiGrace for letting me copy your swap. Some things have changed (newbies welcome)and some have stayed the same. Please read carefully and be sure you can make the committment in this swap. I would hate for any child to not get their items!

For this swap, you must have a child between the ages of 0-17. If you want to join a Halloween swap for you or another adult, please create one or look to see if one has been created already.

You will be signing up ONE child only or prepare to split up whatever you receive in this swap if you have more than one child.

Please specify the child's age, likes, dislikes and any allergies or products you do NOT wish your child to receive.

For this swap, you will send:

3 or more Halloween Surprises to your partner's child. These Surprises should have a value of $5 to $10 and should contain at least three or more different Halloween themed items (do not send other holidays or non-seasonal items).

2 Halloween candies or something to eat (must be store bought and in it's original manufacturer's packaging - no homemade treats allowed for this swap). Overly healthy snacks are discouraged for this swap, lol!

1 Halloween activity kit or something to do that is related to Halloween. This could be a coloring book, sticker book, small craft kit, jewelry kit, magnet kit, halloween crosswords or sudoku book - something for the kids to do while they are anxiously waiting for it to get dark enough to trick or treat:) The kit can be store bought or homemade from your stash.

** To sum it up: 3-5 Halloween Surprises ($5-10) 2 candy items and 1 activity kit.

For Hearts: Something handmade that is fun, moderately useful or amusing and age appropriate (ideas might be a bookmark, mix CD, beaded bracelet/backpack pull, hair band, belt, mini purse, pouch, amigurumi, knit gloves, bottlecap magnets, locker doodads, stuffie, etc). Don't send adult-y items like atcs or notecards unless specifically requested.

Please pm me with questions and happy swapping!

  • Absolutely NO FLAKERS! This is a swap for children.
  • US swappers only because the cost of shipping may be high.
  • Newbies are welcome with a complete profile
  • No no-sends in the last 3 months

Do not sign up if you know you have other commitments during this time frame - it is unacceptable for a child to receive a late package for this swap.

I will be checking everyone's profile and rating as you sign up. I will let you know if there are any problems so that you might correct them before the close of the swap.

Happy Swapping!

I have two daughters. Kaitlyn is 5 and Bella is 3. If you wouldn't mind sending at least 1 thing for each of them. They are use to sharing and would be happy just to see both their names on the envelope or package. They love music (teenie bop music or pop music or kid music). Necklaces, bracelets, socks, candy, no chocolate because it's really hot here (even in Oct.) and it would melt before it got here, toys, stickers, pretty much anything. The little one is very girlie and loves frilly scarves. The big one loves socks!!! They both collect little treasures (small plastic bugs or animals, rocks, anything tiny/small). They really would be happy with anything. Thanks!

One more thing: Kaitlyn will be an Indian (Native American) and Bella will be a Nice Witch this Halloween. In case you want to send them something that will go along with their costumes.

Is it okay if the child is my niece? I would love to sign up for this swap, but if not, I completely understand.

cocoandmomo 08/31/2008 #

It's fine to join for your niece. Thanks for you interest in my swap.

hooray! I have a 3yo boy named after a mythological creature. (any guesses?) He LOVES Tim Burton, Nightmare Before Christmas, pirates, Star Wars, and Blue's Clues. He is going as Steve from Blue's Clues for Halloween. He loves getting things in the mail so he is pretty easy to please. He can have candy, but seeing as he is only 3, something like Gobstoppers wouldnt be good. Good for giving me a heart attack maybe. Cant wait to swap yo :)

I'm so excited for this swap. My 3 yr old son loves mail. He likes cars, tools, airplanes and helicopters, Max & Ruby, Wow Wow Wubzy, chocolate and lollipops, arts and crafts items. can't wait!

My daughter is in the teens 17 I thought she would really enjoy this and i could get for a little guy/girl. She is in to anything and everything.

My son Ian is 9years old. He is typical boy. He likes sports, wwe, animals and all candy. He likes anything with skulls. He loves webkinz.I'm not a fan of hard candies like quidditchmom I'm still not comfortable with them. Ian can choke on water. lol.

craftyarmywife 09/11/2008 #

My daughter is 4 and loves Curious George, anything from Nick Jr, fairies, butterflies, anything purple, and anything with her name on it. She has a PEANUT ALLERGY but can eat the following candies: Junior Mints, Junior Caramels, Fun Dip, Dum Dums. She's not really into candy so much... She REALLY likes those paint your own suncatcher kits you can find at Walmart or Hobby Lobby. LOVES painting on cheapo canvases! Likes pirates. She wants to be a ladybug for Halloween!

jacqredwine 09/11/2008 #

to add to my comment about Bella's costume... she has decided to be Daphanie from Scoobie Doo. They both like scooby doo and love stickers. favorite candy is smarties for Kaitlyn and Nerds for Bella.

qnkrla 09/12/2008 #

OK HELLO!! I am an idiot! Disregard my comment above. Its a Halloween swap - hello! So the only important thing is that I have a 3 year old son who loves arts and crafts, stickers, and candy (except for hard chewy candy. I usually let him have lollipops and the snack size chocolates.)

Aleigha369 09/12/2008 #

My son is 3, and lately he has been into dinosaurs, cars(the movie), winnie the pooh, and he likes pumpkins and skulls (that might be my fault ^_^) He LOVES stickers and little doo-dads he can put in his bookbag and take with him places to play with.

The only thing that I ask is that you don't send chocolate, we live in Florida and it would melt inside the package before we get it.

mom2moms 09/14/2008 #

I have an 8yo son & 5yo daughter.
They love anything crafty! Very easy to please - LOL!!

Valetian 09/18/2008 #

I have a 5 year old boy who loves Star Wars. Also anything spacey. He is going to Anakin Skywalker (Again) for halloween. He loves stickers and chocolate bars. No allergies.

lovetoshop 09/18/2008 #

This swap sounds GREAT! My son is 5 1/2, my daughter is almost 3. My son loves anything with wheels/Speed Racer and my daughter loves kitty cats and all things girlly. We love craft stuff, coloring, painting... You can keep it light on the candy, they have plenty of junk here :)

RevJenn 09/20/2008 #

Jeremy Age 12.. Nothing oatmeal or peanut.Deathly allergic... Loves craft things and art stuff.

Valetian 10/16/2008 #

Has everyone received their swaps? I sent mine and got rated but I haven't received anything.

Valetian 10/17/2008 #

Were the items supposed to be $5-$10 combined or each? I thought it meant each but my son received a pencil and there is no way a pencil is worth $5.

RevJenn 10/28/2008 #

Never recieved a single thing for my son..
