Let's have a party! Um, but what could we celebrate... Surely we can find a reason if we try?? Check this calendar for Bizarre and Unique Holidays and choose 3-5 options - what would you like to celebrate (seriously or not) in November. List these in swap comments. Once the partners have been assigned, check the comments to see what holidays your partner listed, choose one of these, and create them a greeting card using photo(s) taken by you and suitable for the occasion. Write your message inside and send the card off in an envelope, just as you'd do with any other holiday. Please choose sufficiently bizarre or unique holidays for your list, not something for which you could buy a card from any supermarket. Also, I will ban people who haven't posted their holidays by partner-assigning time - it is not fair to make your sending-partner worry if/when can they start planning their swap. The minimum that you must do for the card is to take a photo (or find an earlier one) that suits one of the themes your partner chose, have it qualitatively printed and fix it to a cardboard base. If you wish and can, you are welcome to do fancier things - for example use several photos, cut photo(s) into fun shapes, add text or embellishments, design a matching envelope, order the card printed in a greeting card service, etc; but this is not required in any way. Your photo may be as bizarre as you want, too, as long as it suits the holiday it is for! |
