Description:

WOW! It is a new month again and I am on my way next weekend to a retreat with scrapbooking and paper arts/crafts friends! The weeks and days have flown by much faster than I realized. (I hope that has nothing to do with being old enough to be retired!! I . . . err . . .retired very early, you understand, right?) LOL

Anyway, with a new month comes a new Tim Holtz tag--one that celebrates AUTUMN (maybe my favorite season when I lived in the midwest). This morning, Tim Holtz posted the following as an introduction to this month's tag:

"the autumn season always fills my imagination with colorful splendor.  it’s no secret i love any shade of brown, but the rich earthy palette of vibrant reds, warm yellows, and rusty oranges are also a favorite this time of year brings.  i’m excited to share several different techniques on this tag including: dimensional watercolor, paint resist, and distressed foiling.  i hope your mind will be filled with ideas and inspiration to capture the beauty of your own creative imagination…t!m

This month's tag is a beautiful autumn one--one that we can easily adapt to the supplies we do have for pumpkin dies or stamps that can be colored and cut out, etc. We can use alpha stickers for the word, AUTUMN, etc. You can get to his tutorial by clicking HERE.

Sign up for this swap by November 15 and have it in the mail by December 1. I cannot wait to see his December tag! Have fun making this tag as always! You will make ONE tag based on Tim Holtz's official tag at the site provided above. However, his tag is only your starting point---you may use it to inspire your own version of a November/ /Autumn tag. I do not have the stamp sets he uses and some of his other supplies. I will be improvising for much of the tag, but can keep with the pumpkin theme. But if you aren't able to make a pumpkin-based tag, how about going with baskets of apples, gorgeous fall leaves, anything that goes with Autumn for you. You may use stickers for the work AUTUMN is absolutely necessary; these challenges are about working with Tim Holtz's artistic styles, and stickers aren't truly "art."

Thanks for joining and I'm hoping to see some new names joining in this month!

Have a splendid Thanksgiving for those in the US!
