zentangled atc's...b&w and then with some color

I am so into zentangling...I do it, I teach it, it finds it's way into the backgound..and foreground of much of what I do.....but it always has even before I found out that they had named it "zentangling!" Pattern, repetition, variety, rhythm.

I've taught line and pattern for years to elementary school and really give kudos to the www.zentangle.com site for formalizing further these ideas and reinvigorating me with ideas for zentangling. Check out their website if you would like more information about the art matter. I am collecting variations of zentangle to put in a portfolio to show my kids I teach in elementary school. Anyone else want to collect little masterpieces of art through the mail?

Make 4 zentangled masterpieces of art. Send two to each of your partners.

Rules: 1)4 atc's; 2 to each partner.

2) 2 atc's should be black and white....2 atc's should have some form of color. (could be all over, could be in one area, could be whatever you think is cool.) You're sending one of the b&w and one of the colored to each partner. So we get slants on how others do color.

3) You should come up with at least ONE? new doodle pattern that you haven't learned from anyone else.

4) atc's should be atc size....business card size...regular playing card size...must be 2.5" x 3.5" (6.35 cm x 8.9 cm).

5) you must have a 4.9 or better rating with no unexplained good excuse "1"'s.

6) you must have at least 3 art swaps under your belt..not just bought postcards or eswaps.

7) you must have great fun and peace doing these!!!!!

I am also posting a zentangle atc postcard swap. I'm pushing atc's for my kids so that they have an art portfolio of other's art by the end of year through swapping. lead by example I believe.
