Description:

This is a relatively inexpensive but absolutely delightful swap for our group members who enjoy sending, receiving, and/or collecting all sorts of stationery.

If you'd like to join this swap, please make sure you have several things listed in your profile that will help your partner find and/or design stationery for you that suits your own personal style and tastes. Just be sure that you include favorite colors (if you have them) and a large variety of ideas for themes or subjects you like (e.g. if you only collect one very specific type of stationery, like only panda bear notecards, or a specific brand of kawaii, this is probably not the swap for you).

All group members maintain well-filled-out profiles and meet the requirement of at least a 4.98 rating to join. In the unlikely event that it's necessary, I will angel this swap after you have attempted to contact your partner and honestly rated a "1" for a no-send.

Here are the rules:

As with all of our swaps:

♥ Read through your partner's complete profile for ideas of themes you can send. The idea is to send your swap partners things (in this case, stationery) related to their interests that will make them smile :)

♥Be certain to check for your partner's dislikes and avoid sending them, so you don't unintentionally spoil what would otherwise be an absolute delight (e.g. sending fun touristy postcards to someone who lets us know that s/he only likes to write long pen-pal letters and has no use for postcards)

You will send your partner 3 stationery items (see the list below). No two items should be the same. These should be sent blank inside an envelope, for your partner to use. Please try to respect your partner's preferences. Each of the stationery items you send should be in a theme or of a type inspired by your partner's profile. You can even personalize them for your partner if you wish (which can be a lot of fun), but that is not required.

Stationery items can be purchased or handcrafted/embellished with care for your partner (hence the type-3 categorization), and should be in new or like-new condition. Please send something of a quality you would like to receive.

Each of the following counts as one stationery item:
* one folded notecard with matching/coordinating envelope
* one classic flat notecard with matching/coordinating envelope
* 2-3 sheets of letter-writing paper with matching/coordinating envelope
* one fold-up letter/envelope set
* one full note/memo pad
* one high-quality postcard
* ten personalized return address labels
* five personalized swap cards
* three colorful/designed/decorated/personalized envelopes of mailable size
*one unused bubble envelope, cushioned, tyvek, poly, or rigid mailer
* six full-sized colorful/designed/decorated address labels with a blank space for the "send to" address area of the envelope or package
* one full sheet of envelope seals
* one sheet of airmail/postal/happy mail themed flat stickers
* six 15" or longer washi tape or deco tape samples
*one rubber stamp
*one stick of sealing wax

In order to receive a 5, your 3 stationery items should meet the above criteria:please rate anyone a 5 as long as they meet these criteria. Hearts are of course at your own discretion.

We will have ten days after partners are assigned to choose, buy, and/or create your stationery items. As always, please do not sign up if you can't get your swap ready to send out by the send date. Please remember to include your name and the name of the swap.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Have fun swapping! ♥

Can I join if I don't really like paper letter sheets? All the rest (including postcard sized envelopes or bigger) is okay though. Or isn't that ok for a stationary swap? I can really totally imagine :-)

Absolutely! Just have that mentioned in your "dislikes." As with all of our group swaps, this is profile-based, and your partner will be looking at your profile to see what things might make you especially happy. :) These are just different ideas for the types of items that fall under the category of stationery. For instance, I've had partners whose profiles say things like, "please don't send postcards, I just don't use them" and I send some of the other types of items instead. :)
