TPD: Folios

Here it is

I LOVE making things like this, my only problem is what am I going to DO with the one I receive back? Can we brainstorm here about uses for one? I don't keep photos in that way so I wouldn't use one as a photo album.

@Ky one of my favorite things to do with them once I get them back or completed is to put a few pictures in them and you have a wonderful mini album which can then be enjoyed. Another use I have seen for them, although I have not done this yet is to turn them into smash books. I think I would be more inclined to make use them as a journal or perhaps to document a trip.

These look great! I'd love to make one...could we leave comments below with half a dozen or so themes listed?

ohh that's a very good idea @gooddog56 then we wouldn't need to profile search and if you wanted to use the one you receive as a potential gift that could be covered as well.

I thought of a way I could use one! I could use it to hold different components I save to use in art journaling....a pocket for punches, die-cuts, words, pictures,etc.... Ok my ocd self is in! :-)

You don't mind international ? You are going to send a mini portfolio? I would love to join in but worry it will put people off sending to Australia?

I got the postage! and it is an international swap :) I am looking forward to swapping with anyone who wishes to participate, if postage is an issue, please contact me and we will work something out. Also I will be monitoring the mail out to everyone so that if it does take a while for the folio to arrive overseas, then I can extend the deadline to ensure that everyone has time to complete the folio without feeling rushed. I should have thought of this and put it in the swap description.... learning!

That folio is awesome! I'm going to try making one as a gift. If it turns out well, I'd be up for joining another one of these sometime. I hope our friends in other countries will join! How cool would it be to get one of these from Europe or Australia?!? Great idea for a TPD swap!

What size is it/ I am trying to see if I can purchase in Australia to save you postage.

It's about 23 cm x 19 cm. I got one to practice on, and they are pretty light, so probably not that expensive for our hostess to mail out...thanks for joining!!

Themes I like: Winter/Christmas (secular and or religious) Themed quotes (positive/some humor is fine) Fish/Seashells/Ocean English & Gordon Setters Iris & Lilies Birds

I got all the packages ready for everyone but when I got to the store the cashier was very poorly trained. All of them will be mailed from the post office in the morning.

I got them all mailed today. Monday at the store, the girl told me that to send them international would be 18+ dollars each and the domestic ones would be close to 4. After paying half that at the post office I am wondering where the extra money goes..... hmmm

I got mine in the mail today. So exited to start this project. We can choose to decorate the outside, right? Thanks so.much for hosting this fun swap!

I know where the extra money goes!!! The girl at the store wanted to get paid for an extra hour to admire the beautiful envelopes! (Got mine yesterday, thanks!!!)

So will you all be attaching your pages with some type of scrapbook adhesive tape?

I will ask my partner what she would prefer--loose or attached...

finished.....i picked up a folder while waiting for mine to arrive. I have enjoyed every minute of making this. Hope my partner likes it.

The folio arrived today -- thank you! I'm tremendously excited about this challenge. The Post Office had done a rather good job of shredding the outer envelope -- it arrived in a plastic bag with a large notice saying "Item Damaged Before Arrival in UK" -- the Royal Mail want to make sure we blame someone other than them! But the folio seems absolutely intact -- whew!

Lol good thing I left it in its packaging. Glad to hear it was undamaged. @hollycm6 I attached mine with red wonder tape and a few of the heavier ones I also used a book binders glue

My folio also arrived yesterday. Thank you for sending me. Also my envelop was broken. But someone at a post office had taken good care of it. My folio also arrived in a plastic bag.

Mine arrived, thanks, Created46 again a little worse for wear,,some one had fun throwing them around. the folder is fine. I am posting mine completed back today. I have loved this swap.

Oh my goodness... I was SO NERVOUS about doing this project, and I LOVE the way it came out!!! I almost wish I could keep it! I hope my partner MiekeC likes it!
