I've been totally digging on finding some of the cool indie music that I've never heard of before. I get a lot of ideas from some of the TV shows (Grey's Anatomy, Scrubs) and have found some really cool artists that have been around but aren't well known (or are now becoming well known). Would love to swap a mix of this type of music (think Of Montreal, The Unicorns, The Shins, Regina Spektor, etc). Make a mix cd with at least 12 tracks of songs from your favorite indie artists. You'll have two swap partners to send it to. Be sure to give song names and artists!

A great place to hear good indie music is if yall have access to Podcasts..KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic is a great place to start. Ive downloaded every single one and have heard some of the best music I ve heard in a long time.

This is going to sound really rude, but I don't mean it that way. If there is anyway my person could give me stuff I probably really haven't heard that would be great. (I'm tired of people worshipping the garden state soundtrack, etc.) I'd really like to discover stuff I haven't heard, so the typical O.C. 'indie' stuff isn't my favorite. If it's too much trouble, don't worry about it. Sorry to be demanding!

Kind of hard to figure out what you haven't heard of. Hopefully you'll come across at least a few things you haven't heard of, or maybe you'll rediscover some things you had forgotten about. Sometimes I just like to appreciate the "mix" that someone has come up with, because it's often things I wouldn't have put together on a cd.

I know where you\'re coming from with the OC-indie call, though a well placed Shins song can\'t go wrong on a mix IMO.

Hope I get you in the swap though, I\'m pretty sure I have some stuff you wouldn\'t have heard much of.

I made my mix yesterday, and it was so much fun I had to make a copy for myself too, and cant stop listening to it! I hope my partners like it too! :)

I just got one of my cds in the mail. There's no name and no track list, but actually the main problem is that the disc won't play on any of the stereos I've tried and only the 4 m4a files will play on my computer. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
