Description:

I have hosted some Round Robin Journal Swaps , that are only open t o "experienced" swappers with a great rating - and I have been contacted by many newbies asking if they can join...

I've told them to find a "quick turnaround swap " and get some great ratings, and they would be most welcome.

well, there just aren't that many "quickies" that are open to newbies, ...and I remember when I was one myself...

SO... This is for YOU, if you are brand new, and haven't yet found a quick swap to get some good ratings.

This is an International Swap, open to EVERYONE! - even experienced swappers (adding a couple "5"ratings is good for anyone!

SWAP DETAILS: you will have TWO partners (that means you will get two ratings)

Send FOUR blank* notecards with envelopes to each of your partners.

(That's eight notecards total, which is usually one packet of notecards from the store)

* In some past swaps, people have questioned what "BLANK" means - - there can be NO greeting/writing/wishes, etc. on the card! Better to take a piece of one-sided scrapbook paper, and fold it to fit into an envelope.

This is a FAST swap (one week from signup deadline to mailing deadline, so get your cards right away, put them in the mailing envelope, even weigh it, if you want (remember, this is an international swap, so don't add postage yet)

Swap partners will be assigned right after the signing deadline, all you'll have to do is address the envie, add the right postage, and get it mailed on time.

Remember to RATE your partner as soon as your swap arrives...there are some eager newbies waiting for a number after their name!

Any questions or comments please just ask or message me.

Sorry...another question regarding "blank". The outside cover of the card can have a picture or design, right? just no words?

UseYourWords 02/ 8/2016 #

is it ok if the cards are different?

phenley 02/ 9/2016 #

Do the cards have to be all different or can they be the same.

gramsbuttonbox 02/10/2016 #

They can be either the same or different...there very likely might be some newbies in Thi s swap, who have not acquired the assortments of paper supplies, as an oldie like me, 😀, so it does not matter.

Just be sure there is NO greeting or other message on the cards.

Thanks for asking, have FUN!

Hcuely2 - yes, there can be a picture or design, on the card, just NO words.

Thanks for asking!

I Had this swap in my swap log but didn't actually sign up for it! So silly. I have everything packed and waiting for a dresses too! Glad I caught that in time!

Me too, welcome to the swap, I hope you have fun!

I'm very new here and I just wanted to clarify before I make any mistakes, would each partner be receiving four separate letters?

gramsbuttonbox 02/13/2016 #

Jupiter, these will not be letters...you are sending four brand new, (or from your r stash) UNUSED and not written on, blank cards, with their envelopes.

If you are looking for a penpal, I am hosting a "Just to Say Hello" swap, where you would be writing to, and also receiving from, two swappers, who would like to be penpals. I invite you to check it out.

Sorry, I hadn't worded that well! I understand these are blank cards, what I'm asking is if I send these cards in their envelopes separately, or if I fit them all into one envelope. As in, would I be writing my partner's address four times on four separate envelopes each with one card inside, or only once on one envelope with all four cards inside? (I apologize for the confusion!)

CreativityLane 02/14/2016 #

juppiter - For what it's worth, here's my understanding:

Take 4 blank (without greeting / saying, but pictures okay) notecards and 4 corresponding blank envelopes. Place all in another envelope and mail to your swap match. Repeat for 2nd swap mate.

The key is that both the 4 notecards and 4 accompanying envelopes be blank so that the recipient can use them.

Hope that helps!

Thank you very much, for that great explanation...yes, it is exactly right!
