Description:

I love to poke around my local thrift-stores in hopes of finding treasures, which to me include anything I can use for papercrafting, penpalling, or swapping. Last year I was fortunate to find several nice sets of rubber stamps (for really nice prices!). There is something relaxing about stamping an image, coloring it and then using it to make a nice card to brighten someone's day. [It reminds me of all the adult coloring books that are "all the rage" these days.]

So, here is what we will do:

  • Choose one (or more) rubber stamps from your collection (at least one stamp should be a design that you can color in).
  • Stamp it, color it, and adhere it to a background layer (or layers).
  • Attach it to a folded card.
  • It's optional if you want to stamp a greeting inside the card.
  • Write a note to your partner inside the card.
  • Put your card inside an envelope.
  • Stamp a few images on it (it's optional if you want to color these).
  • Put on proper postage.
  • Send to your partner, who will receive it, read it, and smile because someone has brightened their day. :)
