Hallowe'en Stockings

United States only, please. (Feel free to create an international version if you like.)

Please note: this swap is not about fun Hallowe'en-themed socks to wear on your feet. It is about stockings that are similar to Christmas stockings, except that the colors/designs, etc. are Hallowe'eny instead of Christmassy.

For this swap you will have two partners. You are to create and send a decorative Hallowe'en-themed stocking to each one. The stocking should be at least ten inches long; there is no maximum size. Stockings need not be filled with goodies, but if your partner does include such stuff, be sure to award them a heart when rating.

Use any technique and materials to create and adorn your stockings: sewing, knitting, crochet, weaving, quilting, embroidery, applique, charms, sequins, beads, felt, Hallowe'en print fabric, etc. Make sure your stockings have a loop at the top to hang them with. Put some love into the making of them, and make them fun!

Stockings should be in the mail by October 15th, to give your partners time to use them as Hallowe'en decorations -- or to give to someone special. Please post a photo or scan of your finished items here in the gallery before you mail them out, so that we can all enjoy everyone else's creativity.

You must have a minimum average rating of 4.8 or more and at least 5 substantial (that is, non-postcard and non-online) swaps under your belt to sign up. I reserve the right to ban anyone who seems "iffy" to me for any reason.
