Okay, I'm stepping out of my comfort zone here and creating my very first pocket letter! I want to thank @Snuggles555 for her interest and encouragement.

For your one partner, create a pocket letter with the theme of books. The center pocket should have a letter to your partner. One page of standard copy paper is long enough and the content of the letter should be about, of course, books. You can use your imagination for the other 8 pockets. Mini book, list of favorite books and authors, etc. It's fine if you want to put a couple of tea bags in so she'll have something to sip while she reads your letter. Please check her profile for possible allergies and dislikes.

The front of the pocket letter should be decorated. I've seen pocket letter with and without back decorations, so I'll leave this optional. If you want to doll it up, feel free.

Have fun with it, and don't hesitate to let me know if I've left anything out, or if you have questions.

Should the letter be hand-written or typed?

Hi, @drgngirl either is fine. I like to type mine, but many people prefer to hand write theirs. So it's your choice :)

Well I have to say I am intrigued by the idea of pocket letters and I know this would be a safe one to join. Where I am really hesitant is how to decorate the front of the pockets! I tried looking at some on Google and it didn't really help. I couldn't figure out which ones were decorated and what was part of the items inside the pocket! I almost feel like I need to see one of these puppies in real life so that I can wrap my brain around it!

Hi, @Eponita sorry for the delay in answering you. I ran away over to the coast! What I did for the front of mine is to print out a photo I'd taken of my antique books and divide it into 9 equal parts, one for each of the pockets. I printed my photo onto matte card stock instead of photo paper. Another idea would be to print out quotations about books and reading, and put one into each pocket.

I hope others have some ideas that you might use!
