I think I'll give this a shot. It would be nice to trade lightweight stuff. Btw the memopad can be a cute notebook right? Those small kind.

In some places you can get small sheets of stickers that only have about 6 stickers on, so you need the ones that are bigger than that.

Reward stickers are the ones that say things like Well done, which are aimed at giving out rewards to school children when they\'ve done well at something.

No dollar amount. I'm pretty sure you'd be able to get most of these items in the dollar store (although not being in the US, I wouldn't like to swear to it). I know I can get most of these items in a UK version of the dollar store called Poundland.

I can only speak for myself, not for the others in the swap. I'd be glad to receive several more sheets of stationary without matching envelopes. If the stationery comes with a matching envelope, I wouldn't mind if it was neatly folded to match that envelope. But it came without envelope, the sheets would have to be flat, unfolded.

I was wondering, since we have two partners, we are suppose to send 3 things for each of them correct? Also, are we just sending it to Heather, who is in charge of this swap?!

I would like to make a request that my partners dont send me a gel pen! they always seem to get broken in the mail, and I dont use them often anyway! i would love everything else though! I am a huge sticker, stationary and post card swapper so I am very excited about this swap! I just love foreign stationary!

Sharon I would say that with the stationery you would need to send envelopes with them yes and you only need 2 envelopes, not necessarily matching. The sheets don't have to be A4 size.

Stickers and staionary- I would like all of those things were you to be one of my partners. Envelopes I dont need since I found a 32quart tub of them in a garage sale for a dollar. So for me if anyone doesnt have envelopes dont worry about offending me

To all of you newbies, please be aware that there are so many different ways to mail something.To help with postage, watch how much something weighs, how thick the envelope will be, and how large it will be. The lesser of all these things willmake it cost less. Also when you go to the postoffice let them weigh it so you can postage it accordingly. I can send 6 teabags in a ziplock in a regular envelope (4x6) or so for 54 cents USA. But a swapper sent me a priority envelope with tea bags for a whopping $4.05 USA. Sure it got here in 2 days but for that diff I couldve waited a few days. The post office sure didnt give her good advice.

I've been hearing about a lot of other people doing swaps and getting some really neat things, so I thought I'd give it a try.

Hi! I'm a newbie but I've signed up for a few swaps already and have been mailing stuff out for the others. I'm really excited about this one because I love notecards and stationary.

A request for my partners, I would really appreciate it if you didn't send stickers or gel pens. I don't want a pen breaking in the package and ruining all the other stuff. Also, I have numerous stickers from all my scrapbooking supplies and would really prefer not to get anymore.

Several people in the Participants List who have multiple No Sends and poor ratings. I hope they get weeded out of this swap before it starts. Something not being received, and given a low rating for it is one thing, but someone who has multiple No Sends shouldn't be playing in these swaps until they clear the others up.

Just my opinion, but I'm so tired of seeing people not receiving because poorly rated swappers are allowed to play in yet another swap.

There are always people who are "no sends". I sent a lovely scarf to three people and I only got back from 2. I would rather the "no sends" email me if they had a problem at the time and couldn't send or forgot or just stayed away from swaps. Giving them a bad rating doesn't help that much.

I sent the packages to sorcia and little kitty today. They are both going by air mail, one within the US, the other to Australia, so hopefully they won't take too long.

I'm sorry to see that the bad swappers (multiple no sends/received) were not banned from this swap before assignments were made. Someone, several someones, won't be receiving in this swap, I can tell already.

Before you send to your partner you might want to see what their ratings are. If they are habitual "No Send"ers, you might consider not feeding them yet another swap that they have no plans of reciprocating to their partner. I have held back a swap from a swap abuser and sent it to their partner instead who did not receive from the swap abuser.

This is such a great swap, short and sweet and simple. It's such a shame to see abusers in the list of participants.

Oh you impatient ones! (I'm smiling) I love getting the goodies in the mail but do remember the deadline to mail isn't for another 3 weeks.

So far, I either get a "recieved yours" or "sent yours" on this swap page. Unless it is going to be late, I try to wait for the goodies in the mail so don't need to be contacted when sent. I do enjoy and am appreciative when I get notice that mine were recieved. I worry about my goodies until they get to their new home. And I think I am going to have bad experiences with that one.. the swap coördinator hasn't send his stuff out (sending date is passed 3 days now). Heather, we all are enjoying this swap and appreciate you starting it. Don't be hard on yourself for the slackers and users (those who sign up with no intention of sending but every intention of receiving).

You mentioned 3 banned users already and how you were going to send to their partners. An option you might consider first is have those who were assigned to send to the 3 banned users just divert their packages to the banned users' partners. That would work if they haven't sent to the banned user already. That is 3 packages already prepared and 3 less anyone else would have to Angel. This is what I did in one of my swaps where I had a bad partner (she didn't send to her partner). I had a feeling she would do it and didn't send to her and waited to see if her partner would receive from her. Didn't happen. So now my goodies that were intended for my partner now go to my partner's partner. In this way, noone could say I received but didn't send. Everyone who receives a package needs to send one out, too, even if it's an Angel.

I will be happy to be placed on your Angel list, too. No need for you to have to bear the burden of sending to everyone who doesn't receive. Especially when others are offering to send an Angel package or two. Use us!

Please don't let this swap's negative side deter you from starting new swaps. You could have a more smooth running swap with stricter rules. Of course, this being a "Newbie" swap, you really can't have tighter rules to weed out the users, but perhaps instead of saying this would be your last swap you start, perhaps it's just your last "newbie" swap you start and you start others that interest you, but with stricter rules (certain member ratings, No "no sends" unless good excuse - such as not sending to a known slacker, etc.) This swap was a great concept and easy to do and I am enjoying it. Thank you for starting it!

Heather, there is no problem with my packages to be sent out per se. I will get mine out by Friday, March 30th. HOWEVER, I am going to say that, while I am going to mail mine to Krystal (crochetferretlvr) by Mar. 30th (she's got some ratings behind her already and her partners have already received in this swap), I am NOT sending to my other partner Dale until I know that her partners have received from her. She has no ratings behind her yet (yes, I know a "newbie" as the swap called for) and her profile is short and sweet (1 answer under each of the 5 or 6 categories). She may be a perfectly wonderful beginning swapper, but I am choosing to wait to send her package until I know she's sent. If she does not send, then I will send my package that I prepared for her, to one of her partners instead.

I'm telling you this upfront, because I'm not going to mark my name as "Sent" until BOTH are sent, and that may not be by the 30th. It may turn out that only crochetferretlvr's will be mailed by the 30th. So until I mail Dale's to her or to her partner, I won't have marked my name as "Sent". So don't be alarmed when you see a "Not Sent" by my name after the 30th. :)

And you may put my name on the list of names for those of us swappers willing to send to someone who didn't receive anything a package. I'll be happy to send to someone who hasn't received by about 2 weeks after the swap (or more) or to any of the partners of the bad swappers that have already been deleted from Swap-bot or who have very poor ratings.

Recieved ronivm's package yesterday :) thank you, love it. So now I have both packages, I hope mine have arrived to their destinations. I have sent out 6 packages so far in a month and not heard a word from any of my partners as to wether they recieved or not panick panick.

Good morning Heather - I received from one of my partners but not the other. If my second partner was one of the flakes, no worries about having an angel send to me. Just to give you heads up, I had aloha in another swap (ATC Goodies), and I had mailed her a premium stuffed package. Vintage bingo card, vintage pages from various books, vintage metal slides, vintage ribbon, vintage game pieces,(approx 30 or more various items) I can go on and on. If I had known about her I would not have mailed out to her. So THANKS for letting me know. I am still a newbie and I don't think I will swap anymore when it comes to sending partners packages of goodies.....(yep, it seems as if I am screwed on the first three swaps I ever signed up for). I am hoping for the best for the other two goodies swaps that are currently in progress, and I know the one last swap I am doing (ATC Chain) that one is going full speed ahead and has been a blast. I feel for the coordinators of these swaps, and I was hoping to be a coordinator in the future (I have a great swap idea), but the few bad apples make people like me want to stay away. Especially when the good people are taking out the time, effort, creativity, and expense to make a swap something special. I like the idea of the one person above who doesn't mail out until she sees some evidence that her partners are actually participating and mailing their swaps. Heather, you have done a great job and you care about the participants - so thanks again for being the coordinator. Unfortunately, I just had some bad experiences right from the get go....

OK I have spent the better half of my afternoon sending messages to those who still have Not Sent next to their names. Reminders have gone out twice to some in recent days, so there should really be no excuse.

Some of us may have more time on our hands than others, but that is still no excuse to sign up and then completely forget about sending out your swaps.

I am a single mother to a 4 year old, all week long I have been in school making things with them out of every day items that can be recycled. Today I have been to the hospital for abdominal pains I have been getting and yet I have still managed to get out 3 other swaps I have been involved in, as well as all the other things a single mother has to do. Perhaps I am just good at multi tasking.

Please everyone who hasn't sent their parcels off to their swap partners yet, let me know. Especially if you are a NEWBIE - you would absolutely hate for your first 2 ratings to be a 1, it certainly wouldn't help you to get into other swaps.

I've only received one package so far. I know the last day to mail off was March 30. I guess I should give it a little more time but I'm kinda worried with all the hype of bad swappers not sending packages.

I'm still a little new to this but I have already completed two other swaps. This one makes me want to reconsider doing anymore. No offense to Heather, you did all you were required to do. It was a fun swap and I enjoyed shopping for the two people I received and knowing that they really liked what I bought. It's unfortunate that some people out there want to scam something so simple and fun as these swaps. I'll give myself some time before I decide if I'll swap again.

Also, I wanted to know if there is a way to find out the partner(s) that mail to you before swaps end or before you have to leave feedback.

Keep holding out. I know a few people hadn't sent until Saturday after my reminder to them, or they were posting on Monday.

OK I have once again spent the last couple of hours emailing everyone who has a no send by their name and hopefully I will get some response from those who have ignored my previous messages.

Some of you were told not to send due to certain people being removed from swap bot, you have now been contacted because one of these people has been allowed back to swap bot.

Dale, I apologize for sending yours out late. I meant no offense, but I just had to be sure you were one of the great newbie swappers and not one of the swappers using others. It sounds like you sent great packages and I hope you receive great ones, too. I will have a package in the mail to you tomorrow (post office is closed for the rest of today) so you should see it next week. :)

ALSO - RECEIVED ANONYMOUS PACKAGE! Yesterday's mail brought an unmarked package. I don't know if it was for this swap or another (I am in quite a few). So I'll make a mention of it here and if you sent me this package, please let me know. In this package was a memo pad with the word "NOTES" at the top and a magnet on the back, a package of Stickeroni stickers with 2 sheets of flower stickers, predominately pink - my fave color, and 2 envelopes and matching papers in purple and lime green. There was no note or address or swap name on the package or within the package. The only thing I have to go on is that the postmark indicates it was mailed on Wednesday, March 28th from Lake Forest, Illinois. I considered that someone might have sent an "Angel" because perhaps one of the deleted swappers had me as a partner. I just want to be sure I (1) have the right swap; and (2) rate the right person (as I don't know if I can determine the person by a location only - Illinois - when the rating feature is up tomorrow).

Thank you if it was from this swap that the goodies were sent!

oh well - it was a tough decision, but I'm just not going to join any swaps (or will drop out of any swaps) anymore that have swappers with ratings less than 2 - I seem to somehow draw the unlucky card too many times - I'm sorry, but I like the concept of swap-bot too much to just keep this up.

I went in to rate and found out one of my partners who was supposed to send me was may davis (purplexdolphin)whose account is deleted. She never sent me anything. The other swapper was great though, and I am content to leave things as is.
