The Book Challenge 1

Have you heard of the Rory Gilmore Reading Challenge? She is a character in the serie Gilmore Girls who loves to read. In the 7 seasons of the show 369 books are mentioned or maybe 339. The various lists found online do not agree on this. I choose the longest list I could find. The goal of the challenge is to read them all. If you read 1 book a month this challenge will keep you busy for 30 years :)

In this swap we can chat about the books we’ve read and motivate each other to continue the challenge. We can share links to (free, legal) ebooks and maybe you find some people to swap real books with. I encourage people to get creative with this challenge, but this is totally optional. Here you can read my ideas about this challenge and swap. I suggest you read it. The list of approved books is also found in this link. You choose what book you want to read, the only restriction is it must be on the list. You can read real paper books, ebooks or audiobooks in any language. Watching the movie and compare it to the book is fine, only watching the movie isn’t.

If you’re starting with this challenge go check the list, mark the books you’ve already read and maybe want to reread and choose a book to start with. Share this with your partner. If you’re already in this challenge share your experience, what are you reading now, what book you recommend, etc.

Sent your partner an email or a message telling about your experiences with this challenge. You can write about it, share links to websites that are connected to this challenge. If you got creative with this challenge please share. Keep it appropriate! Write in english unless you are sure your partner understands the other language.

Anyone can join this swap. I will not allow anybody with unexplained 1’s or 3’s. All profiles will be checked before partners are assigned, I reserve the right to ban anyone. Sent on time and don’t forget to rate. Keep an eye on your spambox, just in case. Follow up swaps will be posted on the first of the month.

To be clear: I did not invent this challenge or made the list of books myself. I found it online and thought it was fun. I do admire the person who made the list, that’s what I call dedication!
