Description:

I did the first version of this swap back in 2011 and now that I am back swapping again, I figured I'd run one again!

Let us use some of the awesome bits of ephemera that we've been getting in our recent swaps to create some inchies!

For this swap you will have 2 partners and create 4 inchies for each partner. (2 partners x 4 inchies = 8 inchies total)

These inchies are sender's choice, so you can start creating them now!

What is an Inchie?

A work of art that is created on a 1″ x 1″ square background.

Here are some ideas of what you can use to create your inchie backgrounds:

  • old calendars
  • book pages
  • greeting card covers
  • junk mail / catalogs
  • magazines
  • restaurant menus
  • colorful envelopes

Here are some ideas of what you can use to embellish them:

  • paper
  • glass
  • wood
  • plastic
  • stickers
  • pictures
  • beads
  • puzzle pieces
  • used postage stamps

The possibilities are endless! Please let your imagination run wild!

Guidelines:

  • NEWBIES WELCOME: If you have never made an inchie before, now is your time to try!
  • MINIMUM RATING: 4.9
  • PLEASE MAKE QUALITY INCHIES: Putting a sticker on a piece of cardstock and calling it an inchie is NOT quality. Make sure you use something sturdy as a base to apply your inchie to
  • PLEASE NOTE: It does not cost a lot to ship inchies, but be mindful that this swap is international.

Write your name and date on the back of each inchie. Make sure to include a little note to your partner so they know what swap this is from!

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me!

Happy Swapping!

Are people with 10 swaps considered newbies? Well, as an FYI - brand new newbies are not allowed in the Ephemera Junkies group. One of the requirements for membership in our group is a minimum of 10 completed/rated swaps. :-)

@Angie Ooops! I always put "Newbies Welcome" on my swaps because I know how it is when you are just starting and I don't mind angeling my swaps.

Plus I figure someone who is a newbie to making inchies can feel comfortable joining. I just edited the swap description to remove the part saying to send me a note. Force of habit. Thanks for clearing it up :)
