Description:

My goal for 2017 is to create a piece of art every week, and what better way to do that than to create at least 1 ATC each week? By the end of the year, if you were to do this, you'd have the equivalent to an entire deck of cards! My goal is to run these swaps weekly if possible, and if there's enough interest. For January, I'll post all weeks at once. For the remaining months, I'll post two swaps every two weeks, with respective due dates. I'll also do my best to post themes way in advance for those who would like to try to swap in each round, so that you can work ahead.

For this swap we will be using a prompt and creating 1 ATC on sturdy backing to send to our partner. This should be sent in a protective sleeve, ATC sized envelope, or carefully placed in a greeting card so that it doesn't get damaged in the mail. The prompt for round 3 will be "Joy." You may use this as a literal or figurative theme, meaning, you may use the word "joy" or you may use an image that epitomizes the feeling of joy. Be sure to sign the back with your user ID and the name and round of the swap. No sticker slapping, or digital ATC's. Collage style preferred, however, If you have a great talent for drawing, hand drawn are fine.

January Themes: Round 1 - Snow Round 2 - Lime green, orange, turquoise (use these three colors in your design.) Round 3 - Joy (use the word, or what epitomizes joy to you.) Round 4 - Eyes (must use an eye creatively in your ATC design, as the focal point, or as a smaller part of the ATC.) Round 5 - Heart/Love (use either a heart or love theme...anatomical heart designs are perfectly acceptable.) Round 6 - Asian themed (Chinese New Year, this year is the year of the rooster...go with any Asian theme you like though!) Round 7 - Texture (must create texture in some way, either through your background techniques, hardware, ribbons, paint, embossing, use of fabric, glass, etc.) Round 8 - Senders choice

As with all swaps I host, I check ALL participants prior to assigning partners and reserve the right to ban anyone I feel will not follow through with the swap. I will ban ANYone who has recent 3's or 1's, and any one with excessive or unexplained poor ratings. I strive to keep the highest standards in my swaps, but I am also happy to allow newbies with VERY well filled out profiles. (If you need to ask if your profile is good enough, then you probably don't need to sign up...try the newbie helper groups, and forums then revisit later rounds of the swap.) If for any reason you are flaked on, please rate a 1, then shoot me a private message and I'll be more than happy to angel the swap for you.

The short of it: create an ATC on sturdy backing using the theme "joy" and mail securely to your partner. Be sure to sign the back of the ATC with your user name and swap name.
