Description:
You will have 2 partners. Send your partner one postcard, stamped and written on with no envelope, a postcard indicating your disdain of the current administration. Image should relate to your disdain. Card must be storebought or bought at Redbubble, Zazzle, CafePress, or other online printing stores. Cards must be well-made and no unintentional white borders. On the card, write about the top five issues you are concerned the current administration is going to mess up, and what you plan on doing to FIGHT THE POWER! THEN: You must also send at least two postcards of any type to your local, state, or federal representatives, or to the president, indicating your point of view on the issue(s) you're most worried about. Take a photograph of them, front and back, before sending, and email it to your partners. If you don't agree with this swap because your politics are different, that's fine--we're fighting for you too. Please don't join the swap though and send anything pro-Trump or pro-this administration as you can and should be rated down if you do and choose not to amend your swap. Any comments added to this thread in support of the current administration will be deleted. You have the right of course to make your own swap that is in support of this administration. Anyone with 1s and 3s unresolved may be banned from this swap, though still encouraged to complete the PC protest to their representatives. I vet my swaps as recommended by @TC in Newbie Helpers Group, so anyone not in good standing with the community may be banned. I reserve the right to ban for any reason but may offer a private swap if I feel that it would be appropriate. I will angel if needed, please follow rating etiquette including emailing your partner(s) for non-receipt or not having swap guidelines met, and then allowing them to resend if they agree. If you still haven't received anything in a pre-set, reasonable amount of time, or if the swapper is suspended, etc., please rate as appropriate and let me know you will need an angel. I was under the impression that Political views or swaps relating to such were not permitted in the rules. Is this okay before I decide to join or not.?

I'm just a little bit mad as h*ll that I can't escape politics here and just enjoy my hobbies... This belongs in Facebook. Let us be peaceful and united here. Be divided somewhere else.

As a generally "apolitical" person whose very liberal husband has managed to more-or-less get along with my conservative family for 13+ years UNTIL now (my husband and brother had such a huge fight the other day that they're now refusing to ever be around each other; I can't stand when people I love badmouth one another, and I fear what will happen next) -- believe me, I completely understand wanting to avoid politics.

However, I have no problem at all with swaps like this one: 1.) it's so easy to avoid this or any swap (unlike Facebook, where anything can appear in one's "newsfeed" and trigger another stupid fight if the wrong person sees it) -- simply don't join the swap and don't even click on the link if the description/comments bother you; and 2.) I'd MUCH rather people express their fears, concerns, etc. in ways like this (where they're also taking some positive action, i.e. writing directly to the politicians) than the ranting, name-calling, and hateful comments I see so often on Facebook and elsewhere.

Just my $0.02.

I support the host of this swap (even though I am not American) and agree that all the negative commenters should just have ignored this swap, as they have the clear choice to not join or even start their own swap to support "avoiding politics" or another political view.

Thanks for sharing, those of you who left negative comments. Your opinion is noted and has been dropped into file 13.

And for anyone wondering, I rechecked Swap-Bot's TOS, and there is nothing prohibiting this type of swap.
