Alcohol Inks on Porous Paper = Backgrounds

Have you played with alcohol inks? It's addicting at first, right? HaHaHa! I know I went a little nuts in the beginning! Now I glance across the room at the box of inks and think I really need to take those out again! Another thing wandering in my brain is the question "can I marble paper with alcohol inks?" I tried the shaving cream / acrylic paint thing last week and wasn't thrilled with the outcome! So all of this led me to YouTube where I found lots of videos on creating backgrounds using alcohol inks, porous paper and water to get an unique effect for backgrounds!

For this swap you will create five (5) backgrounds for your partner using alcohol inks with a porous paper. The backgrounds :

• will be a minimum of 5" x 7"

• will be made using at least a 90# card stock ^^^

• should have at least three contrasting colors

^^^ You can also use bristol board (100#) up to watercolor paper (140#); all five pieces do not have to be the same weight paper!

Please be sure to use enough ink in your water bath. Check out a few videos for inspiration and ideas. I liked this one but there are many to view! Oh! Have fun, because that's why we're doing this, right?
