Description:

A "blind" swap means you get everything ready and seal your envelopes before the swap is assigned. It also means you can even start choosing and wrapping your tapes now so they'll be ready to send once partners are assigned. :)

Below are the fine details:

  • 4 partners (Yes, 4; it's still cheaper than one large fancy Starbucks coffee drink! LOL!)
  • A minimum of 8 different washi tape samples to each partner. (If you tape your cards side by side with a little piece of washi tape so they stay flat, they should be inexpensive to mail.)
  • Please wrap your samples on a shiny surface such as a playing card or something similar so the tapes can easily be removed. (Note, if you use cheaper playing cards, please cover them with packing tape or laminate them. This will help us be able to use every part of the tape because it's not sticking to the cards.).
  • Minimum length of each tape: 18 inches (45.72 centimeters) (I tend to wrap 9 times around a standard card. It ends up giving a bit extra.)
  • No plain tapes, NOR any tapes from the Dollar store, Target One-Spot, Studio G, etc. I will, however, allow Scotch Expressions washi tapes.
  • Please include your name and swap-bot ID inside the envelope.
  • Please also decorate your mailing envelopes with washi tape - on the front.
  • Lastly, please have fun sharing your washi tapes!

Anyone can join as long as you follow the rules on the group home page. I will check profiles before assigning partners.

Question, how can you tell if a tape is Studio G brand? I'm not sure if I have any of this brand, I've looked inside my washi rolls and don't see it marked there. Just want to be sure. :)

@dally Studio G brand tape is cheaper quality tape, similar to the Dollar store quality tape sold here in the USA. It's more like a paper sticker and not as pliable as regular washi tape. The rolls come with very little tape (not the standard quantity you get normally) on them.

You can Google "Studio G" and look at images.

I think your tapes are probably fine for this swap.
