12 Months of Dotees (Flowers)

I'm putting this on my watchlist while hunting for fabric.

I will put this on my watch list. I would so love to do this, but in the last 12 Months of Dotees swap I got flaked upon by my partner. I didn't ask for an angel because I'm still holding out hope that she will send because the swap is still listed on her profile and not marked as sent.

I just don't want to get into this swap and put a lot of effort into making 12 dotees and get nothing in return. I feel selfish for saying that, but it's true.

Robin, Im so sorry that happened to you. The only way there is going to be a flaker in this swap...is if that person decides to turn flaker for the FIRST time in my swap! I am going to edit this swap so there is some sort of guarantee....

I put this on my watchlist, since they limited how many swaps we can join.

Really, Flakers are just takers not givers and they are all over Swap=bot. It is up to the coordinator to watch for this and get it angelled if it turns out bad. There is no guarantee you won't be flaked on no matter what anyone says. But most swappers are great and also many willing to make things good.

@ladydy5 First I would like to say I have never had a flaker in one of my swaps and have turned down a few swappers who have signed up for my swaps in the past. You are right, there are no guarantees when it comes to swapping, but it is nice knowing there are angels available for such a huge swap Im hosting if someone should get flaked.

This is on my watchlist.If I can get half done by the signup, I will join. The holidays are just making me feel overextended, but should calm down in Jan.

Um... just wondering if it would be alright to print/paint your own flower patterns? I'm thinking I don't normally use flower patterned material so I don't have any, and wouldn't really want to buy huge amounts for one small project, but I'd be happy to make some to use :) and it'd be fun trying to come up with 12 different designs!

I'm probably not going to have enough swaps by the signup date, but thought I'd ask anyway.

I got my fabric today it's really cute. As soon as I get off the net I'm starting to cut the fabric.

Thank you for inviting me to this swap but I am new and haven't the swaps having done 3 so far - do you send them all at once? I would be interested as it would be certainly a good way to improve Dotee making I am going to make one tonight on the train! Hilary
