Description:

I have been hosting this swap in the public lists and in another group for a few months. It's been a lot of fun, and I've gotten some really interesting results and comments. So let's continue the fun. :)

This is a journal swap, so a type 3. But!! We are NOT sending a full journal to our partner, we are only sending the pages we write. I collect the pages I receive in a binder, but that is optional. By not sending a full journal, we are able to keep the shipping costs down, so more can participate, and we don't have to worry about the postal system loosing our precious books! Also you may join as many rounds as you wish! There is no commitment from one round the next.

I have participated in the "Shared Journal Experience" that is being hosted in public by @AmericanHeiress and it has been a lot of fun. Thank you for letting me build on your idea. :) If you are in the US and up for an adventure, I suggest you check it out. :)

The Swap

You may join as many or as few rounds of this collected journal swap as you wish. You do not have to participate in them all. This IS a journal themed swap, but for this swap, you will write (or type) the entries (see below) and mail only those pages to your partner. Each sheet you use should be standard 8.5x11 (US) or A4 sized paper. Please leave a margin on the edge and top so your partner can fix it into a binder if they wish.

To keep postage costs down you may use the front and back of one sheet for your entries (see below). Hopefully, this will help everyone interested able to participate. However, if you wish to write more, longer entries, or use only one side of the page, that is completely fine. International mail can get costly and tricky, so I'm trying to find a way to make this possible for everyone who wishes to participate. But the minimum requirement can be met on just one sheet of paper to save on postage costs. You will neatly fold your pages and may mail them in a standard sized envelope. (You do not need to mail the pages flat.)

SWAP DETAILS

For each round you will send 1 page (minimum): You can send longer entries if you wish, but the MINIMUM will be 1 full page, typed or handwritten. It is broken up like this:

Part 1 will be a short biography of you, at least a half page or a paragraph (5 sentences is 1 paragraph), but it can be longer. More than just "my name is, my birthday is, I live here".

Part 2 will be a journal entry of your day, at least 1/2 page long, again whatever you wish to share. If you wish to take more, that is fine. Please date your entry, though!

Part 3 This entry should be a FULL page, and can be the back side of the pager containing the first 2 parts. This entry will be a journal prompt reply. Choose from these topics: (If you can't do a FULL page on any one topic, you may use 2 topics to make up the full page of journal entry).

Choose from:

Why did you join swap-bot? What are you favorite types of swaps?

What holidays do you observe or celebrate? What do you usually do for holidays? Do you have a favorite? Why?

Picture prompt - Include a picture to your entry and write about that prompt.

Free Entry - you choose the topic to write about.

You may decorate your pages if you wish, just be sure they are still able to be clearly read. :) If you choose to add pictures or items like ticket stubs you may do that, but pictures or items shouldn't take the place of your written entry. This is, after all, a written journal.

VERY IMPORTANT There are several rounds for this swap :) You need to include your swap-bot ID and the name of the swap & round number with the page(s) you send so you can be rated. You MAY make that note on the top right or left hand corner of page 1/side 1

You will send those 3 journal entries to your swap-bot partner. :) If you get all 3, you rate them a 5. :) Hearts, of course, are up to you. You can then collect the entries in your binder or folder and add to it with each round, if you wish, but that is up to you.

This swap will be International, and you will have 1 partner.

I'm assuming this is round 1? It doesn't say and I'm blonde. :)
