Open to Newbies, this is a FUN swap! What IS a "swap card?" Whenever you send out a swap, it's really nice to include a little "card", identifying yourself, the name of the swap,and when it was sent. I have received swaps, and had NO idea who it was from! These little "notes" - - (recycled cards/computer generated/embellished/ etc, etc,) "cards - are fun to make, and they can use almost ANY materials, from leftover kid's construction paper, to recycled greeting cards - the sky's the limit! I've even seen some OH SO cute ones, using the round key tags! And since they are so much FUN to make, and use some craft materials that may not be "suitable" (size, color etc) for other projects, you can just "let go" with them. You will have TWO partners, and will make for each of them, FIVE swap cards. (yep, that's 10 total - - I was a math teacher, so I know!) - these can be all different, or all the same. Be sure to print onto the card the space for the following: Swap-bot ID ,the Name of the Swap, and, Date Mailed, You can print out "labels" to attach to them, or, you can just write out the info by hand, , being sure to leave enough room so they will be able to fill in the details in their future swaps. Have some creative FUN with these, and make them adorable and cute! (well, the adorable part may be optional, but please be sure they are CUTE! I'm giving a month to make these, tho you probably won't need that much time - these little things are FUN to make and pretty addictive, so be careful! This swap is open to newbies, since they are just starting out, and might want to know what these little gems are like -, and also hopefully inspire their swap partners to always include a card for themselves. You need to change the sent by date. If you’re giving everyone a month, the date needs to be June 26/27th.

swap partners are assigned around the day after the signup deadling (in this case, the 24th of June. (I will check profiles which, depending on how many people sign up, might take me a day or two - then Swapbot randomly assigns them (the swap host does not actually assign them - but I will have a link to click, as soon as I'm ready to do it.

Thank for hosting the swap! Is the swap deadline June or July? (it has changed a couple of times) it now says July 9th. (thought i was June 9th, and now your message says June 24th.) Just making sure. I've had my cards ready for a few weeks now...excited to swap!

im sorry for the confusion, dear heart - all dates are in JULY - the deadline for signing up for the swap, is July 9, and the cards must be mailed on or before the 28th. thank you for asking, and I hope it hasn't been too confusing. this has proven to be quite a popular swap, and I do run it frequently, and will be running it again, in case anyone does not get signed up for it, before the swap closes (on or shortly after the 9th.

Hello, I'm new to swapping and would like to join this swap. Just wondering though, is there a specific size requirement/recommendation for swap cards? What about the thickness (such as tags with embellishments)?

hello, and welcome to swapbot! I am so h appy you want to be part of this fun swap, and i hope you have lots of fun!

there are no specific "rules" for size, or shape, etc, as long as there is enough room to include Swap Name, My ID, and DATE Mailed."

and also make sure that there is enough room for your partner then, to fill in the card for their future swaps.

hope that makes sense - please, just have FUN with these - there are no strict rules about these little gems!
