Description:

For this swap you will creating a single Artist Trading Card - ATC. Artist trading cards are 2 1⁄2 by 3 1⁄2 inches (64 mm × 89 mm) in size, the same format as modern trading cards.

You will be making one card for two partners with a Sheep theme, its the time of year when lambing begins and the days are getting longer. Its your choice if you want to draw an older ewe or a young'un. There are plenty of choices for this swap.

Your ATC's must be hand drawn and created by you. You can use a wide range of mediums, work with the one that suits you - that could be pencils, ink pens, paints, watercolour, acrylic, gouache to name but a few.

Mostly I want to encourage folks to make something lovely you'd be proud to receive and wish you could keep for yourself!

*You cannot join this swap if you have any 1's or 3's. If you have these, you will have to PM me and we can arrange a private swap for the pair of us. I am sorry to have to add this.

*You must have at least 10 ratings for physical swaps to join.

*This is not a swap that judges your ability to draw, so long as you try and fulfil the swap subject and deadlines there is absolutely no reason to rate down. Lets be fair to each other.

*I cannot at this time angel this swap, sorry folks but I will be keeping a grasp of who is in this swap and their current ratings to try and bring the risk down as much as I can.

Please if you have any questions ask away, I'll try and answer them as best I can.

Question: Is it allowed to use watercolors for coloring, or is this swap strictly for drawing?

Also, friendly suggestion: Maybe add on the description instructions for ATC size & to put artist info on the backside. So far I've traded 4 ATCs here in Swap-bot, and 2 out of the 4 cards I've got in return have been post card size, and one with no info on back. (This despite of very clear instructions in swap descriptions.)

I will edit to include watercolour mediums and other paints.

I can't believe that someone did that to you on an ATC swap - sending post card sized stuff. I had no idea this was a problem with swappers, having hosted a couple of swaps in the past even with clear instructions.

Everything should be sorted now.

I am familiar with getting postcard size ATCs. What's up with that? I don't raTe down for that, they just don't get a heart.I DO WANT TO KNOW WITH THE HAND DRAWN SHEEP MAY I COLLAGE INSIDE THE SHEEP'S BODY OR DOES THAT DEFEAT THE PURPOSE.? TIA

I think there still must be a majority hand drawn/painted element to the card but a little collage should be ok, there is certainly a lot of art to building up layers in a card.
