TBR: Unread Shelf Project 2020 July

Not all group members are required to join this swap, this is just for fun, if you wish to try a challenge or if you're not sure where to start!

The suggested book for July is: 'a book voted for you by Bookstagram' -- Bookstagram is the term used for those who use Instagram and post photos of the books they have read, want to read, etc... You don't have to do this method, if you don't want to. You can either choose any book from your TBR for this challenge, or ask someone to choose a book for you to read, whatever works for you.

Check THIS Forum post if you'd like to 'vote' on my next book to read, or post some of the books you're considering reading for this prompt, if you'd like some input. Not a requirement for the swap! :)

When you send your email at the end of the month, just let you partner(s) know how you chose this book, or if someone chose it for you, etc... Just a line or two about it.

After sign up ends and your partners are assigned, just send them an email (you can send the same email to all 3 partners, just be sure to use BCC to send the emails) with the book title and author and then just a few lines about

if you liked the book or not,

if you couldn't finish it, why did you decide not to finish it?

That's it! You don't have to write a book report or review - unless you want to. This swap and the series and the group is more about helping and supporting everyone to tackle the TBR lists than book reviews and recommendations.

Monthly challenges for the year will be:

July - a book voted for you by Bookstagram (or other bookish community) -- The idea here is to post a picture of the books you have on your TBR and have people vote for what you read next. This isn't a requirement for the swap, but it can be fun sometimes. If you're not into having someone vote on a book to read, just read whatever you choose for the swap.

August - a buddy read

September - a book you’ve owned so long, you forgot where it came from

October - a book that scares you - in content or length

November - a book from your favorite genre

December - the shortest book on your shelf

This list of categories was generated by The Unread Shelf. If something doesn't fit, that's ok. You don't have to join that month's swap. This is just for fun and to help us all tackle our TBR's, find books we all enjoy reading and tame the stacks and lists that we all have.
