Hi Selene, What a pretty journal. You did a wonderful job and it's so nice to be given the chance to win it. I would like to take the journal and write some stories from my life. Talk about my grandparents, my parents and other friends and relatives who have made my life worth living. I'd like to talk about my career as a nurse and the reason I chose that profession and some memories from my career. I'd like to talk about my like and dislikes and basically what makes me, me. I'm sure there will be other things I'll include, but lastly, I'd like to write done for my final wishes and write down who gets the few items I have worth passing along. I have 3 adult children and 6 grandkids with the potential to have more. This may sound morbid/ macabre, but I feel like it is something that my family would enjoy reading. As far as wriTing my final wishes, I know from experience how hard it is to make decIdioms when you are grieving, so I feel like I would be helping to take some of the pressure off of them. I have never participated in a giveaway swap and so I decided I would give this giveaway a chance.

When I saw the Journal above I started thinking about what I would do with this beautiful Journal if I had it for myself. I would use it to record my own poetry, favorite quotes, and favorite prayers either I wrote or are part of my Catholic upbringing.

I am so in love with your journals. You are an amazing and beautiful artist and generous soul! If I am blessed with this journal I will be filling it with memories of gratitude and giving it to my mother for her to write a memory on the opposite pages. We will hopefully be handing this down to my grandchildren someday.

If I won, I would use this journal to write my dreams out in. I think writing out your dreams is pretty interesting, and fun to look back on!

Shouldn't this be a RAK? If no one but you is sending anything it doesn't qualify as a swap and it artificially boosts people's ratings. Or artificially lowers them if someone joins, doesn't receive anything, and believes they should rate a 1. There''saves whole thread on this in the PFs...and there's a whole RAK section there too where this generously offer belongs.

This would be my journal to record my secret wishes in. This is a special journal, and I would only write really special things in it, like secret dreams and aspirations.

I won the first one, and OMYGOSH! The pictures don't touch the beautifulness of the journal I received! I have already begun to put family recipes in it!

If i win this one, I will use it for memories of my kids, and give them it later on in life! Something they can remember when I'm old and gray!

@renmagpie Thank you for your concern. This is an electronic Type 1 swap. The lucky person who is partnered with just happens to be the recipient of the journal. I mention what the item would be so it is not Random, so it is just an act of kindness on my part. I state what the item is so only those would want the journal sign up for it. I would not want to send others items they do not wish to have. I think you would understand that getting extra stuff one doesn't want would not be fun.

I have in the past many times put up RAKs in the forums. The issue is many times it is just the same few people. It is nice to send stuff to people but I wanted it to be offered to a larger group.

As far as a concern over a ratings the swap being a ratings booster. Well each person only has 1 partner and if someone doesn't comment but joins in they would be receiving a 1. An electronic swap just requires an electronic element such as writing or posting a picture. I am just having the swappers post here in this comment section instead of on the profiles. I find it lovely to read what each person would like to journal about. It is a very nice thing to share with one another.
