Do you enjoy writing stories?

If you do, have fun being a co-writer to an ongoing story series. It will be fun to see how the story unfolds and even more interesting to see what you receive after it is completed. Ready to try this? Read on to the rules:

INSTRUCTIONS:

FOR NEW Joiners:

Take a sheet of (8.5 x 11 in) paper and write your name and address in the right-hand corner. For a new story, start by writing one sentence to a beginning story. Put the paper in an envelope and send it to your partner. When you receive a story, add five more sentences. Nothing more, nothing less. Take what you have written and send it to your next partner. Please write your username somewhere near the last sentence that you have written.

Newbies welcome with a well filled out profile. Established swappers must have a rating of 4.98. No 1's to active members. I will check profiles. I will angel if necessary after you have rated your partner a 1 but please check with your partner first if you have not received or if you’re going to be late for any reason. U.S. only.

Newbies with no ratings: you must have logged into swap-bot two days before swap signup date or you will be removed.

Special thanks to @InTheWoods for allowing me to use her swap idea and description.

People are asking what do I do with the story after I contribute? Just hang on to it and wait for the next round to send it on. I usually host these once a month.

Someone asked about stories that were generated by other swaps. I have sent stories from other story swaps. I figured these could be like deco book swaps where we just keep them going and circulating no matter what swap they’re from so they don't get stuck. I did check with the original host @InTheWoods to see if she minded but she hasn’t responded and hasn’t posted any story swaps in a while.

Is anyone interested in a type one email version of the swap? that way we can make it international without having to worry about postal costs. let me know in the comments. this would be in addition to the regular swaps. We will still have this USA type 2 as well.
