I was originally signed up for the swap hosted by StaceyLynn, unfortunately she has decided to leave swapbot and cancelled the swap. With her permission I am now hosting the swaps. So..... The aim is at the end of the year to have 100 inchies! This is the fourth part of the swap and is for inchies #31-40. You have to make 10 inchies in total related to the theme "Words". You will have two partners and will send them 5 inchies each. Each inchie must include at least one word. Please make inchies you would want to receive yourself, and please put some effort into them. The inchies can be decorated by any means - ie. paper, paint, drawing, collage, sewing, just so long as they are 1" x 1" square and sturdy. Any questions please ask - I dont bite! The last swap had over 60 people sign up, so I hope you all enjoyed it and will continue with the project! If you haven't already joined the project, its not a problem, you can still join now - you just wont have the full number at the end - but you will still hopefully have a heap of great inchies! BORING BUT NECESSARY RULES! By joining the swap, you agree to making quality inchies which will be posted on time. You must have a 4.7 rating or higher to participate. At least 5 completed mail swaps (not e-swaps or postcards). Newbies welcome if they have completed a profile (please send me a message to let me know you're joining). I reserve the right to ban anyone from the swap, if i feel they will not be able to fufill the swap criteria. No flakers! If you see a known flaker sign up, please let me know and i will contact them. I'd rather lose a flaker than a bunch of good swappers. Finally - everyone should have fun! If you are having any problems completing the swap please email me and your partners so we can resolve any issues.

been thinking about joining an inchie swap for a long time, and love collecting quotes and sayings, so this seemed like the perfect way to finally "get my feet wet" - thanks for hosting it.

what's the ediquette on doing inchies digitally and then embellishing them with paint or sewing or something?

I've never made an inchie before, but I make ATCs, so I'm thinking they're in the same vein. I really want to do this, but I gotta wait and see how crazy the month gets. Looks like an awesome swap though!

Oh I really want to do this swap. I only wish I would have join Swap Bot in time to be in on the first 30 inchies. Love love love this idea.

@Caheli I cant see a problem with it if your adding some embellishments.

@grassbeneathmyfeet if you can't find the time to swap I'm always available for private swaps just give me a shout!

@SuzeesCrafty there will be plenty people who Im sure will do private swaps for the previous themes. (I'll assist if I can!).

Caheli--there has always been and probably always be debate over digital art: real art or something less?, but it's my opinion, and that of other digital art fans, that digital art can certainly be just as good and just as bad as any painting, drawing or collage. I've seen and received my share of really bad mixed media art, paintings and drawings, etc. Everyone has to start somewhere.

I personally would appreciate a good digital inchie--I know how much work goes into making digital art, and that's probably the biggest reason it isn't appreciated by those who poo-poo it--they just don't understand what it takes, haven't done it, and/or haven't seen really good digital art. We digital artists need to show more, and educate those who need it.

Maybe a Digital Inchie swap is in order?

LOL--I just finished my Word Inchies for this swap in the more "traditional" collage fashion--it just happened!--but I did start a Digital Art Showcase Swap for those of us digitally-minded. I do like doing collages and using many art mediums, I follow my muse-- it's all good!
