Description:

The INternational COrrespondence WRIting MOnth or InCoWriMo starts on February 1st! Are you up to the challenge of writing - and mailing - a postcard a day, each day of February? (Cards can be sent in an envelope or 'naked' - Sender's choice.)

For this USA only swap, you will be assigned up to 14 partners, and will write a nice message on a postcard to each person and mail the card. You should try to write only one postcard each day, and mark the swap sent only after mailing off all 14 postcards (don't mark swap sent after mailing the 1st postcard.)

EDIT 1/26: The idea for InCoWriMo is to write and MAIL a (letter or) post card each day of the month of February. I have set up 2 swaps, each with 14 partners, for the month. If you sign up for both swaps (and if at least 14 people sign up for each round), you will send a total of 28 cards during the month of February. For each round you are required to send 1 postcard to each partner you are assigned to. I'm sorry if this is confusing. You are required to send out only 1 card to each partner for this swap! So, a maximum of 14 cards for this swap.

Be sure to write the full swap name AND your swap-bot ID on the card! There will be a series of these swaps, so be sure to be complete with the swap title.

I am also hosting a series of INTERNATIONAL swaps just like this, so being clear with the full title is very important for rating purposes.

What to write?
Postcards are small, but you can still write a nice message to your partner. Look at their profile to see if you have anything in common to comment on.
Ideas: Tell them about the card you are sending. Tell them about a book you are reading, a show or movie you recently watched, a recipe you just tried.

What kind of cards? Postcards are sender's choice. You do not need to send a profile based card, but it's always nice to send your partner something they would like, yes? Any type of card, store bought or nicely handmade is OK for this swap. (This is not a 'chunk o' cardboard' swap though - your handmade card should be nice and neat.) If you add stickers or decoration, please be very careful that everything is stuck down well so it won't cause any problems with the mail, or tear the card.

Who can join? This swap is for established swappers with at least 10 completed, rated type 2 swaps. Profile MUST be fully filled out! more than just a few paragraphs, and graphics/photos don't count in profile content! NO late sends on your dash, and NO unresolved 1's or 3's to current swappers. ALL swappers should have been a member of swap-bot for at least 1 year (so at least since Jan 2020) If you have joined after Jan 2020, you will be 'banned' from the swap - this is a requirement of the swap.

This is not a newbie friendly swap, and it is not a ratings booster card.

I am in the Pacific time zone in the USA, and will have partners assigned by noon the day following sign up deadline.

I angel all of the swaps I host, so if you are flaked on, please contact me once you have rated your partner a 1. Please be sure to RATE your partner!

If you have ANY questions or comments, please SEND ME A PM! I will NOT see comments left below. I always forget to check, but I do get PM's.

I do my best to vet all swaps I host, and try to avoid flakers and questionable swappers, but I'm not perfect. If you know of someone who has joined one of my swaps who is questionable, please send me a PM with the information rather than comments left below. I am grateful for the information and will take it into consideration.

If you would like to swap, but do not meet the requirements, please message me. I am usually willing and able to do private swaps.
