The best birthday gift I ever received? I can't really think of one, as my birthday never seems to be a big deal to anyone but me. But I can say that the little surprises are what delight me most. Once I got a free meal on my birthday because the waiter forgot to bring me my food. That was kind of a cool present. lol

As for my best birthday gift it would probably be the leather jacket that I got for my 18th birthday.

As for celebrations my favorites were ones I spent with friends: my 16th was a surprise party thrown by friends, my 18th birthday I spent at an adult performance venue, my 21st was drinks with friends after church, my 25th was a house party with friends, my 30th was a dinner with friends at D&B, my 35th was a Mets game at Citifield with my husband, daughter and friends and my 40th was a Liberty game with my friends

I think the best birthday gift I ever got was many years ago, when I worked as a Kelly girl. I had been sent to a local company for the week, and I happened to mention the day was my birthday. When I came back from lunch the lovely people there had bought me a little birthday cake, and we had a little party. I was so surprised by their kindness, and I have never forgotten it.

I don't really have a quote but the best birthday gift I ever got was when I was 13. My mom had this entire thing planned where she had put $100 in a wallet (a lot of money for a 13 yr old, especially back then lol) and took me to a big mall near us and I had no idea. She gave me the wallet while we were in the car and they took me to dinner. It really wasn't the money, but the whole surprise of it that really stood out for me :)

The best birthday gift I ever received was to myself from myself! I took myself on a solo vacation to California for my 40th birthday and drove up the PCH from San Diego to San Franscisco and it was so amazing. Can not wait until I can get back to doing more traveling again!!

My favorite birthday gift was when my grandparents unexpectedly arrived at my 8th birthday party with a cake. We had moved from Ohio to Texas 6 months before that and I missed them so much. I’ll never forget how happy I was to see them.

I'm not a quote person, so I'll answer question #2. The best birthday gift that I have every received was my daughter! She was due before my birthday, but came a few days after. The whole week around my due date was just buzzing with anticipation, so it was a lot of fun, Funnily, she's 12 now and has never been in a hurry a day in her life, so it's amusing that her birth was that same way! The best more-tangible gift that I have received was a huge basket filled with every craft supply imaginable from my grandmother. I was about 10, and my mom wasn't into arts and crafts so I usually only got supplies for birthday/Christmas. That basket from grandma lasted several years!

My favorite birthday gift was the scavenger hunt my best friend put together for me a couple years ago. I was completely surprised when she arrived at my doorstep with the first clue!

Every gift I have received has been special to me but I received twice in my life the gift of a friend. When I was 8 my parents gave me a kitten I named Puff. She was my special friend for 12 years then again when I was 46 I was given a kitten which I named Sugar. She was with us 20 years and we just lost her in January of this year. She was such a blessing to us and we miss her. Birthdays seem to fly by faster each year but I'm thankful for each and every one of them!
