TPC: Global Stories Swap

Welcome to the TPC: Global Stories Swap!

For this swap you will send your partner a fairy tale, folktale, myth or legend that's specific to either where you live, where you're from, or where you're ancestors are from. If the stories from your location are generally quite well known, maybe choose a lesser known story.

As well as a letter sharing your chosen story, to share the cultural influences the story has, you should also send along item(s) of ephemera that relate to the story. Examples include a postcard/print of artwork inspired by the story; stamps that feature charcters/scenes; examples within your letter of retellings of the story (novels, movies, ballets, operas, etc.); if your story is related to a specific landmark and both (story and landmark) bring in tourists, promotional items for that landmark; and so on.

You could also send something you create yourself of a character or scene from the story if you like, but it's not required.

Requirements

• Send your partner a story specific to where you live, where you're from, or where you're ancestors are from.
• Include with your story cultural/promotional ephemera related to your story.
• Please add at least 2 paragraphs (each 5-7 sentences) about yourself to your Swap Bot profile if you haven't already. This is important as it will help your partner to choose a gift they think you will like.
• Include the title of this swap and your swapbot username. 
• You have 3 weeks to send your swap to your partner.
• Rating: Please make sure to promptly rate your partner a 5 if their swap meets the requirements as stated above. You must leave a note with your rating! No blank ratings! If there are any problems, please reach out to your partner before rating a 3 or even 1. You can, of course, give hearts to your discretion.
