Location:International
Type:None
Last day to signup/drop:March 9, 2009

Number of swap partners:1
Description:

There are all kinds of chopsticks out there in stores. Some good places to look are Asian grocery or gift stores, import stores, home goods stores like Pier One or Cost Plus (World Market) if there are any open near you.

(If you know how to embellish chopsticks and still have them be food-safe you can do that too, but if you're not sure if they'd be able to be used for food, stick to buying them.)

Each person will have one swap partner and it is international. Chopsticks in a padded envelope are bare minimum, but you can include extra tidbits for hearts, either from their likes/wishlist or by including extra chopsticks, a chopstick rest, etc.

Dollar value should be between $3 & $8. Nothing exorbitant!

PLEASE NOTE: We can all get the wooden chopsticks from the Asian food restaurants. Don't send those! Please pick out a nice pair that have some personality, artistic value, or represent something your partner likes.

4.5+ rating with no no-sends ones in the last 3 months. Newbies with a well filled-out profile only. The more info the better. I can angel if need be, but I really shouldn't have to. I will check profiles before swap partners go out.

That's it! If there are questions, please ask before signing up.

My 14 year old son loves to eat his Ramen noodles with chopsticks. He'll get a nice surprise! How fun!

Can I embellish the chopsticks for decoration purpose which the pair can't be used for eating?

minnie12 03/ 6/2009 #

well if your my partner i wouldn't mind them being emebellished :)

@JainaBee - The purpose of the swap is for chopsticks to eat with, but if your partner doesn't mind then that's okay. If anyone wants to take this approach, you must contact your partner FIRST. If they say they want chopsticks to use as utensils, please respect that wish.
