Welcome to Round Robin Traveling PC Swap

Please read the instructions, as there may be changes.

The goal is to send out postcards, and eventually have them come back to you, so postcards are obviously sender's choice. It can be anything you want, including home made or advertisements as long as it is sturdy enough to mail, and fits USPS guidelines.

If this is your first round: Write your own name and address on the "deliver to" side of each post card, add a postcard stamp or 36c, and write the name of the swap on the left side. You will then send it to your partner in an envelope. Please also add a little note or something to the envelope to make it obvious who should get credit for each swap of the round. If I have any complaints that its not clear who its from or which round it is for I will ban those swappers in future rounds.

If you participated in previous rounds and you have already received your swap from any of those rounds then you must pass them on to one of your partners in this round.

Once you have received a swap, you add your name, username, city, state, date, outside temp, and maybe a very short note or quote to the message side of the card, then hang on to it for a future round. (Sign up deadlines every Thursday) It is possible that when a new round starts you may not have received a swap from the last round and that is A-OK because you can just start a new card, and when one from a previous swap does eventually show up, you will have them ready for the next round.

ADD A STARTER CARD ROUND For this round I would like to encourage all participants to add at least one new starter card into rotation. If you only have a couple of cards to send, you may add more than one starter card (no more than one per partner). DO NOT HOLD OLDER CARDS - Still send all cards you have on hand evenly to all partners, but also include some new starter cards with those.

If weekly rounds are too fast for you, you may sign up for every other round. The cards typically don't make it to their destination until after the very next round is started anyway, and I don't want to exclude anyone that is unable to join weekly rounds.

I think it will be fun to have multiple post cards traveling all over the country, and because the swaps will have multiple partners and fast rounds, they are more likely to return full and in good condition.

When a PC is full send it back naked to whoever's name is on the address side (Please be a pal and check that there is proper postage) Please leave a little space at the bottom of the PC for the USPS barcode they print on.

If you no longer wish to participate but you still have a PC from a previous round you can either contact and mail them to me, and I'll get them back into rotation, or if they seem "full enough" just send them back to their owner. Please be kind and keep cards in rotation.

IMPORTANT: Please do NOT hold an older card just to start a new one. These will be fast swaps and its likely that we will find that we frequently get full cards to send back to their owners. So you will have plenty of chances to get more of your own started in the rotation.

Once we get going it will be possible that you may get more than three going at once (for example, if your mail was slow and you didn't receive your last batch in time, and you had to start new ones.) If this happens, you may send 2 or 3 cards per partner, just to make sure they stay in rotation, however, do not send more than a person can send with 1 first class stamp per envelope. (for example, I recently had 7 cards to send in one round, so I sent each my three partners, 3, 2, and 2 respectively to keep them going, then in the next round I had 5 to send out, so I sent 2, 2, and 1 to make sure none of them missed a round.

Because we have 3 partners, please pay attention to who's names are on the cards. Please do not send one to a partner that has already signed it. We may not always be able to prevent this, but its worth the effort to try. For example if I am your partner, and I've already signed all of the cards you have, then start a new card to send to me and then send your other cards to your other partners. If you have a card that has already been signed by all three of your partners, then hold it to the next round. This is the only time it is acceptable to hold a card.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to keep the game fair please make sure any new starting postcards are stamped as well as addressed by the person starting them into rotation. Remember postcard stamps are 36cents now. This will help ensure you receive your postcard back. If you are the last person to sign a postcard and it is ready to go "home" but does not have a stamp, please be kind and add one.
