🌾 Stemmed Wax Seals Swap

I thought this would be an interesting, unique swap. We will send our partner 3 wax seals with dried botanicals which have STEMS, preferably sturdier ones. You would dry press 3 (or more) small flowery / leafy bunches. After 2-3 weeks, they should be perfect. The technique to create one is: you place the bunch on a ceramic coaster / baking paper, then pour the wax melt on it & stamp. Pretty simple, right? 😉

So the botanicals would be popping up the top (refer to the photo above), instead of in the wax stamp that we see more often. The overall height is 6cm at the minimum, let’s not make them too short. The impressions of the wax stamps, the size of the wax stamps and colours are all up to you 🙌🏼 as long as there are THREE seals. If the stem / bunch is too tiny, please add some more as to balance it with the size of your stamp. Play around & have fun! They would look lovely to add to gifts, cards, and happymails, too! 😊

I’d say, use 4-5 wax beads for standard sized stamps and use 3-4 beads for smaller sized stamps. Remember that the stem might interfere with the impression thus the extra bead. You only need to make sure the impressions can be seen. However, don’t stress much if they don’t look perfectly rounded as it’s normal for this kind of botanical seals. We call it “imperfectly perfect” and it IS the art! Please stick them using double sided tape onto a folding card. But I would cover each seal with a clear plastic sheet for extra protection. On the other side of the card, you also write your ID, swap name & date.

Just like the our other swaps, the envelope should weigh AT LEAST 50 grams by adding 2 or more extra goodies. For examples, stickers, craft / patterned papers, die cuts, stamps, journal cards, postcards, a tag, a set of washi samples (min. 30cm long each), lace samples (min. 30cm long).

I always recommend to try to preparing a happymail according to your partner’s profile. A heart is at your discretion. Remember that the way you present this little happymail is all up to your creativity. Happy swapping! 💞
