Description:

I love upcycling paper from mails and receipts to make my own handmade paper and I think this would be a perfect way to find other people who share a similar passion.

This swap is for those who are currently experimenting with handmade paper and not for those who just want to start fresh. By that I mean, all the people who have already figured the basic requirements for making paper and may have tried it a couple of times already, hence I won't be posting a tutorial for it.

REQUIREMENTS

  • We will each have 1 partner to whom we will be sending 10 sample sheets of handmade paper (not bought, self made)
  • Each sheet must be atleast 3"x5" with deckled edges, of any thickness, and is a proper full sheet (minor variations in each sheet regarding thickness, smoothness and texture can be excused but not holes in the sheet). It must look like a sheet of paper atleast.
  • Make sure to include a variety, atleast 5 include either some ratio of plant based pulp(using onion skin, hemp, coconut, banana etc) or with plant additions(like flowers, petals, leaves, grass).
  • You can interpret the type of paper as you wish (either based on colour, texture, additions, pulp base) For eg. If you send papers with flowers, the combo can be different colour flowers on white sheet or different colour papers using same flower. I hope this makes sense
  • Of the 10 sheets 2 can be completely plain, but it's not necessary (this is mainly for those who may not have pulled as many papers with additions in them)
  • Wrap the papers neatly like a gift (use your imagination and make it presentable)
  • Include a small note describing your paper making experience and the type of papers included, with the swap name and your Swapbot ID.

NOTE

This swap is for us to get samples of handmade papers from others. Please understand that all of us may be at various stages in our level and the quality of sheets that we may pull. The handmade sheets may have small imperfections and that's the whole beauty of why we use them. Having said that, sheets must look like a sheet of paper. If the above mentioned imperfections are something you're not willing to accept then this swap is probably not meant for you.

RATING

Since this is an international swap(and considering Covid), please give the mail adequate time to reach you.

  • No one below a rating of 4.99
  • No one with unresolved 1's and 3's in the last 6 months.
  • Please rate a 5 if you receive paper samples meeting all the requirements mentioned above
  • Hearts are at your discretion. Don't rate a 3 if you dislike the handmade papers. Please understand we're all experimenting with recycling.
  • I will be checking all profiles before assigning partners and will ban at my discretion.

Hopefully this will be fun for you as it is for me. Together let's share a little of what brings us happiness and comfort in times of need.

Sadly, I wont be able to angel this swap for now(although I'm hoping it won't be necessary).

Looking forward to some fun. Happy swapping. Please contact me for any queries :)
