ATCET: Foil relief

Create one foil relief ATC for one partner.

To create your relief use whatever materials you fancy. Example: leaves, string, yarn, cheesecloth, fabric, glue, die cuts, cutouts, flat discs, cardstock shapes, etc. Then cover it in aluminum foil. You can use the black spray paint with soft steel wool technique, or not. Other methods include colouring the aluminum foil with sharpie markers or glass paint. • A similar technique photo tutorial : In this tutorial she tells us how to repair small tears if you accidentally tear a bit of foil while burnishing with soft steel wool.

• Mrs. Hawkes how to make a foil relief - video : She uses Elmer's glue here and layers on the glue between drying to thicken the line. Aleene's Tacky glue dries a little thicker than Elmer's glue and you can use one application.

• 3d Metal relief art - video : She uses fabric glue in this demo. You could use Aleen's Tacky glue for a raised bead, or Elmer's glue for a not-quite-as-high raised bead. And she used glass paint to paint the foil. Sharpie markers work too.
