OFAP Group, FRIEND TO FRIEND LETTER

Hello, OFAP friends -- this is going to be a recurrent swap, a simple letter swap to say hello and write a bit about what's going on where you are. This week the official "holiday season" begins. The Canadians among us already celebrated Thanksgiving; for others it's this week. Then follows, of course, a variety of holidays,various one for various people: Christmas, Chanukah, Kwanza, then New Year which we can't ignore. Please include some thoughts about the holiday season, what it means to you, your plans?

This Is an international swap and, yes, the overseas postage is more than domestic but it's not that much for a simple letter so I hope you'll join this swap wherever you live. The OFAP-ers have a unique take on the holidays because we've seen quite a few. Please write a real letter (long hand, typed, printed?); please, longer than a note card.
