Rainbow 🌈 Pocket Letter Swap

This swap will be for:

• One full (nine) pocket letter using a clear 3x3 trading card sleeve that fits in the standard 3-ring binder
• Letter will feature a ROY G. BIV++ theme
• May be mailed folded, accordion-style, and in a standard #10 business envelope, or sent flat in an A4-sized catalog envelope.

Either way, please ensure that adequate protective layering is included (where necessary) and sufficient postage is affixed.

• Include at least 8 nicely decorated, standard-sized Artist Trading Cards (ATC) in each of the pockets; one card in each of the following monochromatic colors: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet, plus 2 Neutrals

• For this swap neutrals will be: Black, White, Ivory, Kraft Brown, Tan, Gray, or a standard metallic (Gold, Silver, Bronze, and Copper). A White-Opal, Translucent, or Pearl-White color may also be considered a “neutral” for those who wish to include a shaker or vellum pocket with confetti/glitter.

PLEASE verify shaker pockets are properly sealed prior to mailing! Things can sometimes explode en route, due to changing altitudes and temperatures.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The color pink will not be allowed in this swap. The theme is based on natural rainbows or spectrums-in-nature. For the ATCs, please use the bright colors found in natural rainbows, avoiding any other tints and hues. Tints and hue variations of the natural rainbow colors are allowed for tuck-ins.

• Decorations affixed to the outside of the pockets are optional, but the binding edge of the trading card sleeve-page will be embellished with something like washi, ribbon, charms, or baubles
• Include a useful, flat goodie in a minimum of 8 pockets. Goodies can be crafting related, stationery, or office supplies for correspondence.

Examples: stickers, postage stamps, washi tape samples, ephemera, ribbons, brads, buttons, fun shaped paper clips, memo sheets, etc.

Please avoid anything that can stain, such as perishables (including tea bags).

• Include a personalized letter to your partner in one of the pockets that shares a reason why YOU enjoy rainbows.

DISCLAIMER: Since this part is individualized, swappers with hypersensitivity to religion, scientific theory, or LGBTQ+ topics should avoid this swap. Personal thoughts about rainbows can and will vary among individuals.

• Remember to include the swap title and your username somewhere on the letter as well

• All 9 pockets will represent a different color of the ROYGBIV rainbow (plus neutrals) and have tuck-in goodies. These are sender's choice, but profile pages must be read to avoid any overt dislikes. Goodies do not have to be appropriately color-coordinating for each pocket, but should be colorful or rainbow in some way.
