Be the Change - Inspired by V.T. Tragedy

Everyone by now (at least in the States, not sure if it made International news) has heard about the horrible tragedy that happened this week at Virginia Tech. It saddens me so much to see this kind of senseless violence in the world today and really makes my heart break for all the families and people involved.

So I know that I am fairly new to swapping, and this would be my first ever hosted swap. But the recent event touched me so much that I really started to think about a lot of things and wanted to hopefully get others involved as well.

So this swap follows the theme of "Be the change you wish to see in the world." If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? Would you end poverty? World Hunger? AIDS? Child abuse? Animal Neglect? There are so many issues, large and small that you could change.

So everyone will have 3 partners. What you need to do is write a letter to each partner (it can be the same letter or different, up to you) and in the first part describe the change that you would like to see happen in the world, and why? Please let it flow from your heart, and really let your passion shine through as to why you would change that one thing. The second part would be to describe HOW you personally are going to commit yourself to making that change happen. Do you, or will you volunteer or fundraise for charities? Would you send items to the local shelter, or even just hold the door open for someone?

It is the smallest of steps that when combined together can make a great change upon the world. You may not have time to take the step now, or even tomorrow, but when you do have the time what will your actions be??? So let’s band together internationally and take a small step at all being the change we wish to see in the world.

So In Summary: -3 partners -1 letter to each (same or different) -Part 1 of the letter is the change you would like to see in the world and why -Part 2 of the letter is how you are going to commit to making that change happen -Minimum length 1 page

As for the nitty gritty, I have read a lot of swap listings so I believe this is how it goes: Anyone with a no send will be banned, unless they email me and talk to me first. Newbie’s are more than welcome with a completed profile. Remember we are trying to spread some good, so flaking would be awful hypocritical.
