Celebrate MerMay with a whimsy jar!

I love making whimsy jars and collecting the cute little items that go inside! For this swap you will create a whimsy jar for your partner. You have from now until May 1st to sign up and then your whimsy jar needs to be sent out to your mermaid partner to enjoy for the month of May! Start collecting and making whimsies! You will send your partner the following” 1. A pint size GLASS jar with lid. (No plastic jars please and be sure to wrap them well for shipping.) 2. The lid of your jar needs to be decorated with a Mermaid themed top. 3. Your jar needs some kind of tag around the neck of the jar. (I love wrapping necklaces and strings of shells around the jar as it gets filled up!) 4. Your jar needs to have at least five whimsies inside for your partner to start their collection. Make them things that a mermaid would love to have. Here are some examples of possible whimsies: painted pennies, mix drink decorations, wine glass jewelry, mermaid themed bandages (individually un opened please.) large pearls, aquamarine, shells – of course, mermaid dolls, mermaid inchies and twinchies, tiny origami, sea themed rubber stamps, the list goes on and on.

Your jar does not have to be full because your partner will put their own whimsies inside over time. It is just to get them started. Make something you would love to receive. We have all been vetted here in the group but I will check for recent ones or threes. No 1’s or 3’s in the past six months. This swap is a big one and I really cant angel it if we end up with a flaker.
