This is the first of a series of swaps that will feature various USA issued postage stamps, along with a themed note tied to the featured stamp.

For this inaugural swap of the series, write your one partner a note about what you enjoy about Spring, if you'd like to include anything else for your partner - such as a flat surprise, whether spring-themed or not - that's up to you!

Send a letter or a note on a notecard inside an envelope, no postcards (although you might include a blank one as a flat surprise).

Swap closes at end of March and you'll have all of April to write your note ... consider looking at your partner's profile to see if you have common interests you might write about, too.

Anne Mary Robertson Moses, better known as Grandma Moses, (1860-1961) began painting in 1936 after she retired from farm work. Although she was into her seventies when she began painting, her paintings of traditional rural life captured viewer’s visions of an old time America. Today, she still remains as one of America’s most beloved female artists.

This 6-cent stamp was designed by Robert J. Jones and features Moses' painting "July Fourth." It was issued May 1, 1969, in Washington, DC, as part of the American Folklore Issue. Anne Mary Robertson Moses, better known as Grandma Moses.
