Junk Mail Bookmark Pocket

saw this cute tutorial by Scrapbooking with ME Crafts for making Belly Bands with a hidden pocket out of junk mail envelopes. These are cute and small enough to fit into a journal!

*she calls them Belly Bands but I think they look like a fun bookmark with a pocket. If you want to turn yours into an actual bookmark, that would be so cute; leave enough room for the insert to fit with a ribbon

*make your insert sturdy

*embellish your junk envelope as desired: fabric, decorated papers, napkins, sewing, ink, used postage stamps, etc Be creative!

*add a tab to pull out the insert

*no size requirements. She doesn't give measurements, but use a business-sized envelope for length.
