BottleCaps for Breast Cancer!

Several times during the year I prepare Breast Cancer Hope Care Packages for women who are undergoing breast cancer treatment. In these packages I include several special items and notes of love and encouragement to help give some uplifting moments during such a traumatic event. I include small handmade items such as bookmarks, atc’s, notecards, copy inspirational stories onto pretty paper, etc. I also enclose some of the many breast cancer promotional items I received while undergoing treatment myself for the past year (pencils, sticky pads, pencil toppers, water bottles, key chains, etc.)

This swap is for that purpose. Please consider making 5 bottlecap magnets of hope that are related to breast cancer, and send three to your partner and two to me to incorporate into these packages. I would also ask you to include a short message about how breast cancer has affected you or a message of caring support to go along with the magnets.

You will have one partner for this swap. You will send three bottlecap magnets to your partner, and two to the coordinator with message or note. This swap is open to USA/International members with at least 10 completed mail-in swaps and a 4.8 or higher without any “no sends.” I will be checking.

I will post photos of the packages before they are brought to the surgical wing. I am very passionate about these care packages, and the women are so grateful for the compassionate diversion. These care packages are labeled with the word “Survivor”-sometimes you have to let them know that’s what they have just become! Any extra items related to breast cancer are welcome as long as they are new- (these are going to the hospital)!

This is the first time I will be collecting items for the care packages through Swapbot, as I have been collecting items locally. So many Swapbot members have shown true compassion to me, and I hope to continue to pass it on. Thank you so much for looking at my swap. Bless you.
