Description:

Okay, been lurking around for awhile and started swapping in the last few weeks.

Would really like to see if there is anyone out there interested in Judaica, Jewish themed swaps.

For this swap you will have one partner. Create a surprise package of Jewish themed crafting supplies or handmade items. Total value not to exceed $10. This could include items you have made, supplies for crafting, patterns. Please use folks comments below and their profiles to send items that fit the arts/ crafts they are involved in. Items may be specific to a Jewish Holiday, symbols, or decor. Hey gang...let's try not to just have it be blue and white with stars of David.

If this is successful then perhaps we can begin a set of swaps through the year to correspond to the major holidays!

The rules...newbies welcome with a complete profile. Please have a rating of 4 or higher. If for some reason you need to explain your current rating please feel free to email me. Feel free to send something already made or from your stash, but nothing used or in poor condition. Rate your partner a 5 for a swap completed as described and on time. Hearts for extras or really hitting it on the head with your profile.

I'm not Jewish but I adore that quilted item in the pic. Just beautiful!

But I adore blue and white decor and love Stars of David but I understand what you are saying.

Tunamarie 03/24/2009 #

Yep, I was being just a bit tongue in cheek about people thinking blue and hannukah is what it is all about!

Is it possible to get a pattern or directions for this item shown? I love it!

strandfam 03/25/2009 #

My favorite colors are blue & yellow but I love handmade items and will treasure any sent to me.

Well @strandfam perhaps we will get each other in the swap because my house is decorated in blue and yellow and don't seem to get enough of either...I love Hannukah but my absolute favorite, beyond description is Shabbat. There is something about the whole cycle that just is so beautiful it makes my heart ache.

Material! I would totally love cotton material! Anything!

Other than that, I am easy :-) any colour and anything handmade is wonderful for me

Hi AynE; That would be great if we got each other for the swap. I love Shabbat also. Isn't it great to have a holiday every week? I agree that the cycle is beautiful - my husband says the feast days are speed bumps on the road of life...they make you stop and think about G-d and remind of us His laws. I think Psalm 119 really expresses this.

I have so many ideas, I hope when we finish this swap we will do Judaica swaps again! Maybe different themes next time, eh, tunamarie1?

I'd like to hear some ideas for Passover table linens that you all have made. I'm making my 3rd set this year but I still haven't hit on exactly what I want.

Hi fellow swappers. Is there a way to change our name that appears? I've looked and looked and can't figure it out.

Thanks

I got my goodies today. Can't wait to send mine off and upload a photo of what I received. Thanks Tunamarie!

OK - my partner to send to is Tunamaire - so the comment I left was for ShoShoMama. I think I was thinking the person who had me was the person I had. I'm so confused.
