Description:

These swaps have been going on for more than a year - I'm very happy everyone is enjoying these collaged index cards.

Preamble: I've introduced some of you to a collage artist I admire, Margarete Miller, and hope you'll like to join and continue these swaps, using her collage techniques shown at her website and in her YouTube videos - where she employs collage in her art. Please watch at least one of her collage video's if you're unsure what collage means.

Glue two 3 x 5" index cards together, or cut cereal strength cardboard to size for your base, and collage both sides in the landscape orientation - both will be oriented in the same direction (you won't be able to "flip" it to see the other side); don't put a hole in your card and don't sign it - you won't know for sure which side will be the back for your partner, and this way your partner can decide where they want the hole (corner or middle), or if they even want one.

IMPORTANT: Put your information on a piece of cardstock (or send a SB business card) so it can be stored with your card - we don't want to forget who sent such lovely work to us! Please don't make your partner do this for you.

SENDERS CHOICE on whether you want to round the corners of your completed collage project (variety is the spice of life)!

A binder ring is an excellent tool to hold your pieces of art together if, of course, you decide on putting a hole in it.

These are one of my favourite pieces of art to make and send - I hope you join me.
