This is great! Thanks so much for doing this, I'm pretty psyched already ;)

I don't really think it would come up or matter much in swapping, but I just would like to mention that I do have a pretty severe allergy to blueberries (well, it's actually all berries, but I react to blueberries in a real nasty way that ends with a trip to the ER) So unless you have a personal vendetta against me, lolol, please no blueberries!

Question! Do you guys send them in large bubble envelopes or in boxes with foamies?

Cooan- it's best to send the jar in a box, well padded with foamies or bubble wrap. lots of newspaper works too but makes the box heavier.

are we supposed to make the top into a pin cushion or can we skip that detail?

Everyone - it is not necessary to decorate the lid, unless you feel like it. I'm not going to, but I am using a pretty patterned canning jar lid.

Stickers and socks and candy, oh my!

I got my FABULOUS jar this morning from cooan and I couldn't be more grateful! I really feel she went out of her way to find things specially for me ( SUGAR FREE CANDY!!!) and I love it all :-) What a great start to my weekend! :-)

Terry your jar is on the way! You'll have to take a picture of it when it arrives, because my brain ran away and I forgot to take one beforehand. eep! :)

And, I am sorry to say that I needed an angel for this swap, one participant has gone quite MIA.

But I am pleased to say that an awesome swapper here noticed this and contacted me and will be angeling for MIA's recipient. I can't even tell you how wonderful she is, or how much I appreciated her stepping in. I will keep who she is a secret, for the recipient to discover.

mrs.D, it came earlier this week but I was only able to get to the PO today. While I haven't had a chance yet to empty the jar (I am waiting until Sunday when I will have lots of quiet time to savour it all), it looks fabulous! (I will take a pic and post here - if you want me to email you a copy for your records, just let me know.) Thank you! Also, the cookbooks are just great - I love getting local publications like that. You really went way beyond the swap requirement, what with the pretty suede pouch, blue trim and heart topped pins as well as the cookbooks and jar of whimsies. Hi mrs.D: Everything is absolutely wonderful! I love the tiny pincushion you made and the magnet with my name on it! I have made a number of the felt and button star ornaments over the years but never kept any for myself, so that is great too! A marvellous swap with lots of neat tidbits - many, many thanks! Terry
