December - plus Ornament!

books

For this exchange:

Minimum for this exchange is $15 not including shipping.

Minimum $10 + media shipping.
Thriftbooks minimum $15 for free shipping.

Please try to find at least a $5 ornament for your partner. Better if you can aim for $10. Completely okay if you can't; just gives you more options.

Warning: Used books should be in Good/Acceptable+ condition not falling apart, not torn up.

Step One

Check your partners preferences: should be in the comments below.

Step Two

Go through the books you have laying around; see if they fit your partners preferences.

Then if you are okay with parting ways with these books please send them onto your partner.

OR

Step One

Check your partners preferences.

Step Two

Using Amazon/ Thriftbooks.com or other bookstores you know of; find your partner a few fun books to read.

Don't forget that your partner might have wish lists.

  • Check to see too, if they like eBooks.

Step Three

You need to find an ornament for your partner, what theme do they want? Do they collect anything? Do they want a specific one that is within the $5-$10 range.

Step Four

Now this is where it might become complicated. You need to find out what your partner likes to read. So to help with that down below in the comments. You are going give just a quick run down of what you enjoy reading - remember profiles tend to help with this too.

I will review those that sign up and decide based on profile and comment below if you will stay in the group.

Please rate a 5 if you can see your partner took time to figure out what you like to read, doesn't mean you will love the book but it's in the correct genre. Give a heart where you think it's deserved.

I can't believe I am having to add this. If I find people are rating "ones" unfairly, 3 months after the swap was sent, are noncommunicative, etc. You will no longer be welcome in my swaps.

I am very spiritual.I like paranormal, psychological thriller, dystopian, YA, dragons, vampires, zombies, wiccan, fairies, favorite author is Clayton Smith and Patrick Mcgrath. I have a wishlist posted in my profile. I love hot chocolate for drinks. I love all kinds of snacks. Favorite flavors are strawberry and chocolate. I am a LGBTQ ally and love anything related to it. I also love rainbows.

Book: I am a cook, so food writing or even fun old cookbooks (i enjoy seeing how cooking and food has changed over the years). Generally enjoy reading fiction, and always interested in reading something new. No romance (I am not aginst romance being in the book, just not the main theme or point of the book). Ornament: get weird with it. haha. I love weird things. (i have a curio cabinet). Maybe a fun one you find in a thrift store or garage sale. Have fun with it =)

I love YA books, especially anything in the fantasy realm. I like cozy fantasy books as well. Memoirs of people overcoming things like addiction or a rough circumstance of some sort are also interesting. LGBTQ books are a plus as well. You can also check out my Goodreads (linked on my profile) for my current wish-list/TBR.

For ornaments, I love any forest creatures. I also love ravens and crows. Camping related things are fun too.

My favorite type of books include: short story anthologies, sci-fi, fantasy, interesting non-fiction (science, mental health, witchcraft, meditation, spirituality), anything where characters grapple with death/mortality, and anything cozy that’s good to read before bed :) I also love surprises and will read just about anything so don’t stress about finding the perfect book!

For ornaments - anything Yule/witchy/pagan, forest creatures like deer or birds, mistletoe, etc are great. I also love goofy random humor so if you see one that makes you go “what the heck” I will probably love it!

Hallmark Keepsake 1.25" Miniature Christmas Ornament 2023, A Snowy 2023 with Light Mini, Snowman Gifts --I like the hallmark snowman with year on it. I try to get one (since 2017) and moving to the west coast. Anything pretty, blue, snowflakes, simple, weird, :) It's the little things that make it amazing.

I love books, I devour them so fast it's hard to find something new, and when I do I devour it even faster... My profile has a list of well too much. Focus on the dislikes...that will help more.

I have a list of likes and dislikes of books on my profile, and I have a Goodreads. I love fantasy (next week the sequel to Fourth Wing is out and I have it preordered!), YA/New Adult, romance/chick lit (not the make you cry sort like Nicholas Sparks or Kristin Hannah), cozy mystery, historical fiction. Someone also recently gave me B. Dylan Hollis' Baking Yesteryear, and that was a great choice!

For ornaments, I love owls, cats, and bells.
