Description:

This swap will be for one deco that can be sent for letter-rate postage. That means it can fit in an envelope that is no bigger than 6”x11.5”, is less than ¼” thick, and less than 3 oz. in weight. It’s ok if the deco is mailed open like a book in order to fit.

Please consider that future signers will also want to be able to mail it for letter rate and keep your embellishments on the flat side. The goal is for the person who sends it home to also be able to mail it at letter rate.

All stages of deco are welcome: new, established, and last-signers. Please check (and then double check) that your partner’s name does not appear on the deco yet (it isn’t for or by them and they haven’t already worked on it or passed on it). Also, only send more than one if your partner has indicated somewhere that they will take extras.

Don’t forget to sign your deco page and include the swap name and your Swap-bot username in the envelope.

I can take extras

Please also remember that if your deco is too rigid, it can't be mailed letter rate. I believe this is because the sorting machines have curves and turns that the letter needs to be flexible enough to go around. Here's an interesting video I found from USPS showing how mail is processed.
