Description:

“A Parcel of Postal Goodness” swap originally hosted by the amazingly talented @tanglecrafts I was lucky enough to swap with her a few times when she was active on SB.

Inside:

Send your partner a small parcel of postal goodness, containing at least 3 items that are in some way mail art or postal related. The items can be handmade, store-bought, vintage, 2nd hand, salvaged/re-purposed or any mixture. PM me or post other ideas in the comments below. Please include a note, just in case your thought processes aren't obvious to your partner…

• a zine (art/craft/mail art/correspondence related)

• 2 notecards with envelopes or letterset (2 writing sheets & matching envelope)

• a set of envelopes (minimum 4, no smaller than 4x6 inches; not plain white/brown)

• 12 return mailing labels

• 12 faux postage stamps

• 10 address labels

• 8 envelope seals

• 2 new profile-specific postcards, blank/unwritten

• 2 fold-n-sends or postalettes

• a postal/mail-related rubber stamp

• 4 vintage postcards (stamped & written or unused)

• a small address book

• 3 postage stamps for your partner to use (if within the same country or you have postage from their country to send)

The following items should only be included in your package if your partner's profile suggests they would appreciate them, or included in addition to your 3 items:

• 10 Used or vintage postage stamps

• an ink pad, any color

• 8 airmail labels from your Post Office

• 6 mail/postal-related stickers

• 2 blank cards for creating mail art

Outside:

The outside of your envelope/package should be exciting to receive and open! This can be as simple as adding your own faux postage/artistamps to the outside, to decorating an entire envelope with your choice of artwork, to packaging in a handmade envelope of some kind; paint, stamp, rub-ons, etc. Or send it within some kind of 'container' that you would not normally see mailed. Be creative!

Swap requirements

• Items may be vintage/second hand but must still be in good/useable condition. • You may re-gift handmade items, but make sure that the original artist is credited. • The swap is sender's choice, but please put in some thought, & try to make your partner smile. For example, don’t use/send holiday-themed items if your partners don’t care for them or specifically say not to send something. • The outside of your envelope/package must be in some way decorated and/or creative.

• 2 partners = 2 Parcels of Postal Goodness sent, and 2 Parcels of Postal Goodness received! Usual group rules apply; I will check profiles before assigning partners and angel if necessary.
