Description:

Welcome, Fiction Enthusiasts!

Step into the shoes of your favourite fictional character and bring their world to life through a letter to your swap partner! In this swap, you’ll choose a beloved character and craft a letter as though you are that character writing to your partner. Get ready to step into an imaginative world full of adventure!

Swap Details:

•You will have 1 partner.

•Ratings of 4.98+ and no recent 1s or 3s (I will be checking!).

Newbies welcome on the condition your profile is well fleshed out.

•You will have two weeks from the sign up deadline to put together and mail your letter.

💌 The Roleplay Process:

•Choose Your Character:

Pick any fictional character you love—be it from a book, movie, TV show, game or any other fictional universe. Be ready to dive into their personality, quirks, and unique way of speaking.

•Write to Your Partner (NOT their character):

Once partners are assigned, craft your letter, addressed to your partner (NOT their character). For instance, if you’re writing as Eddie Munson (Stranger Things), you would write directly to your partner (their actual name, not their character's name). You can use this as an opportunity to introduce your partner to a potentially new character, or write about niche/cool details that they may not already know.

•Write the Letter In-Character:

Write your letter using the tone, language, and quirks of your chosen character. Describe what’s going on in their world, share thoughts or updates, and ask questions that might be relevant to the recipient.

•Package Extras:

Include a few small, themed items related to your character. These could be mini items like bookmarks, postcards, trinkets, or even small treats that feel connected to the character’s world. For example, a “Hobbit” might include a small bag of “shire-grown herbs” (a tea sample) or a map of the Shire.

✨ What to Include in Your Swap Package:✨

1. In-Character Letter:

Craft a letter from your character’s perspective, sharing their recent adventures, worries, thoughts, and perhaps even their unique take on the world. The letter should feel like it’s been written directly to your partner's character.

2. Themed Extras:

Include a small item that feels connected to your character’s world or personality. Example items might include:

A “Sherlock Holmes” character might send a magnifying glass sticker or detective-themed postcard.

“Alice” from Wonderland might include a small tea bag labelled “Mad Hatter’s Tea.”

“Hermione Granger” might send a feather quill or mini potion bottle.

3. A Character Quote:

Share a favourite quote from your character that captures their spirit, written on a small, decorated card. You can write or print it out, and decorate the card to reflect your character’s world.

4. Decorated Envelope or Package:

Adorn your envelope with drawings, stickers, or colours that represent your character’s world. A “Star Wars” fan might add stars and planets, while a “Winnie the Pooh” might decorate it with honey pot stickers!

Presentation and Postage:

•Package items securely and make sure any delicate items won’t be damaged in transit.

•Make it special! A thoughtfully decorated package adds a layer of magic to this imaginative exchange.

•Include the swap title and your username on a note inside the package.

Final Thoughts:

Feel free to ask questions and get creative with your extras.

The aim is to bring a fictional world to life and share a piece of it with someone else. Have fun diving deep into your character!

Happy Swapping! 🌟📜🌍

Does it have to be a fictional character from an existing media? For example, if I have an original fictional character from my own story, would I be allowed to write as that character, or are only characters from published books/shows/games/movies/etc allowed?
